Get rid of the total liabilities/bottle jobs in the side who constantly crumble under pressure? Also play players in their proper positions and dont shoehorn them in so that a certain player can play every game no matter how shite hes been

Stop the tippy tappy football crap and be more direct

You should replace Brendan with Dyche, then. You'll get all the direct football you want.

None of the wins, mind. But at least the ball will be going forward more

Better game management. Some of our players would rather let a team successfully counter than foul someone and get a yellow. So naive.

If you look it up, you have one of the cleanest records in your league. Your boys are too nice

The obvious one is keeping players fit. This has obviously been a problem but the inability to do so has been a recurring theme. You can forgive freak incidents like Fofana, which has been very damaging and was obviously no fault of our own, but the general record has been appalling and we've not had a fully fit squad in over two years.

Recruiting players to fit Rodgers' ideals (I think any talk he could go is pointless, unless we genuinely totally collapse but I don't see it). The most baffling thing I find with Rodgers is that he seems to favour converting somebody who isn't fitted to his type of play into somebody who is, rather than buying somebody who is suited to how he wants to play.

Recruitment in general though is a massive part of it. Time has not been kind to last summer. Three of the five are totally out of favour, one of them is only on loan and the other seems to be really struggling after an initial burst. Get the recruitment right and we're a large part of the way there already.

Game management must be better. 24 points thrown away from winning positions is embarrassing. We used to hardly ever throw leads away not all that long ago.

We can get good again but we've got to stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

Buy two class midfielders, would be a step in the right direction, players who get the ball hold it and play forward rather than kick it backwards all the time .

Having strength in depth is key. Our strongest 11 can stand up to any team in the league. I think it’s officially been confirmed since Evans and Wes came back that our back up pairing of Dan and Cags are far, far inferior. It’s the finer details of the game they struggle with, and it’s those finer details that lead to massive errors.

We’re in the process of being built, it may take a few seasons for us to have that depth, so keeping players fit is key for me. That’s one way we can improve next season, injury management.

Attack with intent more often, not only when we are 2 down, play for the win. Stop the passing along the back line back and forth. If we are 3 goals up then yes waste the time. Yesterday we were in the 5th minute of added time and the defenders were passing it between them like it was the 2nd minute and we were already winning comfortably, so frustrating to watch.

- Get the summer recruitment bang on.

- Practice defending set pieces until the players are blue in the face

A little more hunger is needed in some.

Not that I want it to happen, but sacrifice Europe in what will be an already congested season (if we get there)

We've had 2 congested seasons already with long cup runs included. As people have already stated, we don't have the depth of quality. I'm not sure what people expect from an almost entirely 2nd string team.

Play once a week for a season and we'll win more games and won't rely on making 8 changes and having 2 different back lines.

This depth of quality argument is a bit pie in the sky.

We have plenty of good players it’s the way they are being managed that’s the issue, we don’t play to our strengths.

No. No!

We need to learn how to balance the demands of Europe and domestic competitions. We also need to attract and retain talent who wants to play in Europe. That involves more strength and depth and an understanding that squad rotation is vital, not an inconvenience. The problem i see now is that Rodgers doesn't trust much rotation in midfield. This is an area where we need to recruit and hopefully see more youngsters come through. It will take time though, especially with the youngsters. Fans need to be realistic here too. All top teams have a habit of dropping points after Thursday away games in Europe.

Although the game yesterday was lost on bad decisioning by Amartey and us being stretched right when we didn't need it, it wasn't won in Midfield. KDH, Youri and Madders are knackered, and i'm not going to blame Youri for not hacking a player down on the halfway line - he shouldn't be in that position in the first place. Mendy has been a welcome re-addition to the squad, but he is not a super creative player, and yesterday he was playing alongside some very tired legs.

No - its completely fundamental. Beyond KDH, Your and Madders, who is there to rotate those guys?

We had 8 shots yesterday and 2 on target. We have issues that run deeper than just set pieces & injuries.

Typically we struggle to create good chances, it’s unsustainable to rely on screamers so often.

We have lots of talented forward players but it’s like we can only have any 2 of them in form at one time.

Good point. I'd be curious to know what our average shooting distance (overall and leading to goals) is. Then compare that to the rest of the league to see where we stack up.

Not spend our transfer kitty on complete shit again.

Sorry, not let BR or any of his best mates spend our transfer kitty on complete shit again.

Back to using our previously successful scouting system please.

Don’t qualify for Europe.

As someone else said players being more streetwise, foul, take the yellow and stop the counter.

If we don’t qualify for Europe the likes of Maddison etc will be off.

1 stupid defeat and FT goes in to meltdown.

If we’ve learnt anything over these last few weeks it should be that we’re a top 6 side with a full fit squad and a midtable side without it.

If we can play our best back four in 90% of games next season we’ll challenge Europe again. I genuinely believe that we have a better squad than Arsenal and Spurs. Unless they have huge summer’s we’ll still have a better squad than those two. Bear in mind that both of those teams will have European football next season which will push their average squads. Look what happens to Spurs every time Kane gets injured…Arsenal had been firing on all cylinders and then Tierney got injured, Partey and now Lacazette and suddenly they can’t buy a win. You can not understate how important a fully fit squad is to any club.

We will be fine next year IF we can stay mostly fit.

Cut out individual errors .. I think the corner issue is now mental rather than anything else... the players know the stats and lose there heads every time we concede a corner primarily the 3/4 players that started yesterday.

Recruitment - A striker is a must as we can not rely on JV with his injury issues and I wouldn’t want to go into the new season with Daka as our main man

Add some steel/presence  to the team - CB / CM

we are a soft team that can wilt under pressure… ie when in the lead/ set pieces

we have to get our summer business right, a decent outlay last summer hasn’t improved our starting line up at all..
