And this is what people are slowly realising, we're awful! United look crap but they'll have the funds and the lure to turn it around at some point, a new manager, a new player etc. We're down there  with Everton and Bournemouth I think atm.

Man Utd also have the added plus of being looked after by officials when the going gets tough - just like last season, when playing their "must win" game against us, and Michael Oliver grew selective vision which meant he couldn't see a clear red card, but could get out an electron microscope and zoom in endlessly until he found a flimsy excuse to get rid of our winning goal to ensure the mighty United didn't fail. Or in the Covid disrupted season, when Fernandes was stamping on Villa defenders then chucking himself to the floor and Fatman Moss was handing out penalties for it.

Not that most in this group will ever admit it.  

 

They've already blown a 2-goal lead in the second half this season, and to a weaker side than Chelsea - lot of work to do here.  But hard to argue with their form at the moment.  Executing the high press brilliantly, great work rate (Aaronson's chart is off the charts - he's everywhere).  Back four is a little dodgy apart from Llorente but Roca and Adams are functioning perfectly in the double-pivot.  It's a manager pushing for smart acquisitions and playing guys in roles where they can be successful rather than trying to force square pegs into round holes.

This is the way to go at Chelsea.  They're not on great form, they're missing their world-class CM - don't go in afraid of them.  They have tons of quality (including in the reserves) and could easily score three in the second half and win this, but you have to make them earn it.
