AjcW Posted 9 September 2022 Posted 9 September 2022 All off then! There will genuinely be a Saturday - Tuesday - Thursday - Sunday round at some point this season now!

StanSP Posted 9 September 2022 Posted 9 September 2022 I'm guessing its now likely next week is called off, especially if funeral is going to be on the weekend? So our next game could actually be the Forest one? 1 1

So our next game could actually be the Forest one? yep more than likely will be off even if the funeral is Monday ( which is the rumour) The last thing they will want is a mass of Football fans in London that weekend as well. The security in London will be on ultra high alert as i imagine the majority of the worlds leaders will be there. Edited 9 September 2022 by goose2010 1

Very much doubt you can say by law “you’re banned from a profession because you resigned from a company” Fair point although FFP conflicts with business laws. Would "you allowed to poach a manager in contract mid season but we will dock you 30 points" be in breach of employment laws? Edited 9 September 2022 by Chrysalis

cruzFOX Posted 9 September 2022 Posted 9 September 2022 Well enjoy the break everyone! Probably good for our metal health this if nothing else
StanSP Posted 9 September 2022 Posted 9 September 2022 Looking at PL and EFL Cup schedule, looking like 17-19th Jan* when games could be rearranged for at the earliest? Between now and World Cup, midweeks are taken up by European football or midweek PL games. And even if any games don't include teams in Europe, I don't think it's allowed for PL games to be played it there's European football on. And the EFL Cup is 8/9th Nov. Europe group stages conclude a week earlier. *no doubt we'll be picked for the Thursday 19th game for no discernable reason! If our Villa game is put in then we'll be playing them twice in 16 days.

They need to scrap all FA Cup replays and potentially make the League Cup semis one game at a neutral venue. That will help the congestion. 5
