My lad played in a match recently were the ref didn’t turn up so we had a dad from the opposition reffing. While he tried to make it look as if he was being fair everything was done to try and and tip the advantage to his sons team. Every touch on his sons team was a foul, any foul on us he played advantage unless we were in a dangerous position, then he stopped and gave the free kick. It was laughable, thankfully we turned them over so could laugh.

This **** tonight reffed like that.

Who cares? We'd have still lost if I'd have reffed it

He gave us a decision occasionally to try to make it not seem so blatant. Like a couple of the decisions he actually gave us were incorrect anyway. I know we were bad anyway but referring like that needs to be reviewed after the game.

I didn't watch/listen to the game.

Apart from the penalty shout early on, what did the ref do wrong?

As far as I can tell, it was just a culmination of minor errors, but no game changing decisions (penalty aside).

Don’t take it to heart my friend.

I can’t comprehend people like you who want to kick off at 3 but want success 🤷‍♂️

12:30 or or 5:20 will do. I loved the pleat era, proper football, proper players.

The pundits on tv should call out the referee.

Like managers they have to be careful what they say. Managers get fined and punished. Broadcasters may lose rights and airtime. I think they did air the fact that decisions seem to go against us. I bet behind the scenes they felt exactly like us. Terrible thing is that whatever happens retrospectively they result won’t change and the history books won’t alter the score line. I’m totally with you though.

Pretty much every key 50/50 decision went Roma’s way. Free kicks, throw ins and corners. It meant Roma could freely disrupt and influence the game.

It reminded me of a boxing match I saw once where instead of 3 minute rounds if the Italian was doing well they’d be 3 mins 40 seconds, if he was struggling it was 2:40. You just end up thinking “oh what’s the f*****g point of trying”. I wish there was a way for the travelling fans to get money back, they bought a ticket for a football match they got a farce, UEFA’s one job was to supply officials. Will there be an explanation why the mugging of Forfana wasn’t a penalty after being reviewed? The “we can see why it was missed so it’s not a clear and obvious error” tripe?

Basically every single 50/50, 60/40, and most 70/30 went in Roma’s favour including some really really bizarre decisions.

There wasn’t one major mistake that led to a goal but it just allowed Roma to slow the game down at every opportunity and break up any momentum we tried to build.

Im not one for referee conspiracies but that’s got to be looked at tonight. Really really really poor.

Not that it mattered anyway, BR and the lads let us down bigtime tonight forget about the ref.
