I’m sorry but as bad as the ref was we can’t complain to him when 2 of the substitutions when we were 1-0 down were defensive.

Basically every single 50/50, 60/40, and most 70/30 went in Roma’s favour including some really really bizarre decisions.

There wasn’t one major mistake that led to a goal but it just allowed Roma to slow the game down at every opportunity and break up any momentum we tried to build.

Im not one for referee conspiracies but that’s got to be looked at tonight. Really really really poor.

Not that it mattered anyway, BR and the lads let us down bigtime tonight forget about the ref.

Some unreal decisions savage couldn't quite believe some on the commentary the best 2 a goal kick after it clearly goes out after it hits there defender then a handball for the ball smacking kdh right in the face

Reporter - “Srdjan, you’ve shown scant disregard for all rules and regulations and displayed behaviour than can only be a result of illegal corruption”

Srdjan Jovanovic - “When in Rome…..”

You're forgetting the penalty missed when Fofana was dragged down ( if the ref missed it, I can only assume that the VAR officials were watching Porn Hub at the time not to ask him to review it) plus the time when a Roma player smashed a ball out of play following a run by Justin and Roma still got the throw!

The ref, and especially the linesmen were shocking, but I'm not sure the result would have been different with a better ref.

We should have had a penalty, it was stonewall, it could have been very different

Maybe, we'll never know.

Pint for Davies from the fazzyfox pint allocation system 👍

Unlimited pints if he had dropped him. Refereeing was simply disgraceful this evening.

There has been something very dodgy about the UEFA referees towards the English teams this week. Absolute joke.

Honestly, I think they just shat it in front of that crowd, it's what home advantage is about.

I knew it was going to be bad when I got today's Wordle :(

Certainly not blaming the ref for us not winning the game tonight because we didn’t do enough. But the officiating tonight was scandalous. Without doubt the worst I’ve ever seen. You can forgive one or two bad decisions but the rate at which he was giving Roma every 50/50 and some blatant Leicester dead balls means he is either incompetent, on the payroll at Roma in some capacity or is a forest fan on the wind up.

I think you may be right, sadly due to our boring crowd and boring style of play we don't get the same advantage😒

As any of you have been around here for long enough will know, I’m the first person to speak up in defence of officials when they are getting panned by our fans for putting in adequate or decent performances.

That was one of the worst collective officiating performances I’ve seen all season, I’m not for a second suggesting the result would of been different had they got the numerous decisions they got wrong right. We weren’t good enough, and They got a fair few horribly wrong in our favour tbf, although far more against us.

Horrendous, non of them had any place being involved in a European semi final.

Nah, completely ballsed up roughly 25% of the incorrect decisions in our favour.

Plus it’s not really an excuse, you get given these games based on previous performance, or you are supposed to at least. venue, attendance, and difficulty of the game you are officiating are all taken into account. Unfit set of match officials to oversee a game of that magnitude, simple as that.

I don't believe in conspiracy theories and I don't want to believe they were corrupt. You have to assume they've reached a certain level of competence to be awarded such matches. Just seems more likely to me that they chickened out. We'll never know though.

“Bent official” straws being clutched big time. Incompetent? Yes. But that wasn’t the reason we lost.

We lost because we have massive problems.

No conspiracy theories from me, he’s a mid tier La Liga Ref who has for some time been looking to better himself, who has shown himself incapable of dealing with a top tier game. And not for the first time.
