Did not get that formation ffs. 3 at the back, KDH wingback followed by Barnes wing back?

proper embarrasing to see evans standing up there on the left with no idea why he was there. Terrible by Rodgers

With THREE strikers up front and we still cannot score, sad really. But the continual sideways and back to each other passes I fail to see the point, just gives the opposition more time to set up their defence

Everything goes wide, the only times we had anything come close to chances in the second half one of the wingers Barnes/Evans(in one case) came in off the the wing to find space in the box

None of our forwards are good in the air. We've Marc Albrighton who can deliver fantastic balls into the box and use wing play often but we don't have anyone in the box who can cause physical problems for their CBs or head the fookin ball.

Was thinking this the other day against Spurs when Sharky came on, delicious balls into the box but no-one there for it.

Honestly I'm not sure what has gone on with BR, but solely placing the blame with him is not acceptable. The players were almost calling their PAs to book their summer holidays whilst out there today. Effort was just not there and Madders can't defend that on social media this time.

We know that we are still pathetically vulnerable to the set piece, so the second was no surprise. This is a very much a coaching issue and the adherence to zonal marking for two thirds of this season was borderline negligence.

The first was the sort of strike I willingly pay money to see from either side and happy to stand up and applaud such a beautifully taken goal even though 99.9% of the time that's heading for row triple Z and Mykolenko's unlikely ever to do that again. He did have an aeon to set it up though. Also delighted to see some glory and cause for celebration for the young Ukrainian player. Shame about the injury.

I thought that was a very entertaining game. We weren't "abysmal" ffs, but I can see why the same loose passing, inability to close down the opposition or finish in the final third incenses our support and forum member, particularly since it's the same mistakes that are made week in week out.

Football can be so ****ing negative. Comments like "lets send these c***s down" - I can't understand it. Yes Norwich are a non-entity and Burnley really have become the unflushable turd (Moor) of the Premier League, but why would you want to see a club with the pedigree of Everton relegated? A football club with at genuine sense of community and genuine local support - yeah the ownership is questionable (I'm referring chiefly to USM), but great to see Kenwright still there - a scouser himself and long term chairman and I also saw Toffees luminary Graham Sharp on the screen. The travelling support was excellent today and completely behind the team. They won't go down I'm pleased to say and I hope that they rebuild and can at least continue to offer an alternative to the obligatory LFC hegemony and glory support around the country that seems to have surpassed even Man U.

A very disappointing season for us, but this result doesn't overly bother me since our season is done and it's a valuable three points for Everton which will probably go a long way to assure their survival. I would also suggest that if that glorious strike from Mendy or the shot form Barnes has gone in the 'Brendan Rodgers' thread wouldn't have been triggered and neither would our fickle fanbase.

Of course the manager must shoulder some of the blame. I can't be arsed to work this out, but how many points has our inability to defend corners actually cost us this year? Hypothetically speaking, how many places in the table? Someone? It's also our inability to see out a game - late equalisers. I'm still emotionally scarred following the disaster against Spurs - I literally fled. I ran out of the stadium at full time and didn't stop running until I'd reached Vicky Park.

We simply lack both the quality and depth to wage a European campaign. The fact that we have even been challenging for European entry and until recently CL qualification is admirable. I think that a season to concentrate solely on the league and domestic cup competitions is precisely what we need. Some prudent transfer activity this summer would be most welcome too - and that in honesty is my greatest concern - recruitment.

Anyway, congratulations to Everton and kudos to their travelling fans today.

Our biggest problem going forward is that every attack in the final third is against 11 men. We are so painfully slow going forward, we allow the opposition the chance to get every single man behind the ball. Every single time.

Absolutely spot on. Obviously corners are a slight issue too !

Trouble is all of us expected this. Some voiced it before the game others tried to reset a more positive vibe but without any confidence. Like an unwanted guest it turned up on time and we have to put up with it till the next match. I am so pleased I can look at some photos of the grand kids to cheer me up and divert me from moaning about LC to my lovely wife

To be fair to Evans I think he was there because he was fed up of Barnes not doing his job and was trying to create something

Very little time to work on set pieces between games. Not got the right profile of players not determined enough

Playing Dewsbury hall at wingback rather than Thomas because of physicality
