Compare that to Schmeichel who would rush out and make himself big to make it hard for the striker. Ward does the worst of both worlds, neither stays on his line nor goes to close it down.

I could half accept the 1 on 1 technique if he was really good at something else. I can't think of a single goalkeeping attribute he does better than the average professional goalkeeper.
