His save percentage across the season is actually higher than that, believe it or not

63.3% I thought it was in the 50s I knew it was the 3rd lowest in the league.

62.5% today so about average for Mr Potato

Needs to be bombed down to 3rd choice until his contract ends in 2025 (or if we somehow get lucky with some other club wanting him)

Give Iversen or even Smithies a go for the rest of the season

The only goalkeeper I've ever seen that manages to enlarge the goal for the opponent during one-on-ones (except Weghorst - who is just Weghorst).

There’s no club that would be willing to match anywhere near his current salary. The fact that he had 2 EPL starts prior to this season, also confirms that he doesn’t give a toss about playtime.

Ward is going nowhere until his contract ends in 2025.

1st goal can’t blame him for them scoring, but he also didn’t put any pressure on Rashford whatsoever.

2nd goal awful positioning, has to run like his arse was on fire, then jumps over the ball in the most odd fashion.

Just seen the first goal again. Originally thought Ward had stayed rooted and not come out…..didn’t realise that even worse he was scampering backwards :dunno:

Does he sit with the GK coach in the coming days and explain his logic. When Fernandes plays the through ball he may have thought it could be a 50-50 and worth rushing out for but when he sees it pitch so close to Rashford he changes his mind and stalls his run in fear of being lobbed. But he’s not that far off his line and the adjustment that follows - the scampering back seems a panic reaction with no need or benefit resulting in offering no kind of barrier.

It was all there for us to see that last exhibition match in the summer. The difference between Ward and Kasper. Like night and day when Kasper came on the pitch before leaving for good. I want Ward to succeed here but losing Kasper was the writing on the wall. We'll be extremely lucky to find anyone to replace him.

I miss kasper

He gave confidence and also had the bastard about him which was needed today!

Actually it feels quite embarrassing to go from having a world class keeper in Kasper Schmeichel to a keeper that wouldn’t start in league one.

We’ve become a laughing stock…

First goal was nothing he could really do. Rashford all alone with so much time to pick his spot. He scores that against most keepers.

The second was just horrific positioning and even attempts at a save.

The third everyone else had given up anyway.

No, and it looked like he knew there was nothing he could do except give Rashford as much of the goal as possible to aim at.
