He didn't play as many games but Zeljko Kalac was up there. I was behind the goal in the Kop for that cup game and it was genuinely as bad.

He's the worst that I can remember in terms of who had decent game time.  This is coming from someone following the club for about 30 years.

If anything, he got off far too lightly with the crowd today. Yes the defence and team ahead of him were extremely poor. But we’ve all seen this before. He’s arguably single handedly cost us relegation 2 seasons ago. He’s a handicap for this club. He’s been a handicap for his country. Yet he remains at the club and getting picked and there can’t be any tolerance for what we’ve witnessed again today, especially in the context of everything else.
 

We cannot afford to let this clown have another minute. If this reaction has any chance whatsoever of ensuring that can be the case, then it’s our duty as fans to make our feelings clear.

Easily number one on the shit list!

 

However his biggest contribution to the club was the impact he had no coming on. So has probably given the club more than Ward.

He can't be anywhere near the pitch again. Even for a warm up or cup game. He mere presence drags the team and the fans down. His head can't cope with what's needed. 

 

If it takes paying the rest of his contract off for him to come nowhere near Seagrave or Filter way again then so be it - treat it like an investment. Had 2 grown men nearly fighting over how shit he is today. Its almost like Ward is pure evil.

They were decent keepers in their day though, just ancient when we bought them. Ward is and always will be crap.

I hate us booing or jeering our own players, but this guy shouldn’t be on the pitch. It defies belief that he’s still starting games for us in the Premier League. I don’t like it, but this might be the only outlet for people to make this clear.

I agree. I really do. But when he’s on the pitch for us, for me that stuff just can’t happen. Show your displeasure before and after the game. But get behind the team during.

I do agree. It’s just if there was ever an instance where I could understand the frustration - it would be now

Sorry, but when Ruud is picking Ward over Iversen and Jakub, all gloves are off. Ward’s performances in 22/23 cost us a lot.

I know what you're saying Bert, but we're far too passive as a fan base.

Ward is just unlucky that he's one thing the entire fan base agree on

I felt sorry for him until you stop and realise he's been picking up his cushty wage packet for 2 years now as a third choice keeper, even in the championship. No ambition as a footballer.

Apparently I saw Shilton as a kid though though my earliest proper memories were Wallington. I wouldn’t use that word but he isn’t great let’s put it that way.
