Also that he was unlucky when the third hit the post and went in. What you can’t argue with though is that the fan base has had it with Ward. Getting loudly booed by the fans and ironic cheers for making basic saves should spell the end of his team involvement. I can accept if people think Justin was at fault more but from that position Ward should still save it. Third one was hit straight at him from an angle ffs. A capable goalkeeper saves both of those goals. 1

Popular Post RedSoxUK Posted 22 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 22 December 2024 Danny Ward deserves everything he gets, the booing, the criticism, everything. He knew himself that he was massively out of his depth when we were relegated and was the single biggest error of the Ruskin/Brodge final season, thinking this okay backup will just do a job for us. He should have left. If bet any money Enzo Maresca told him, the same way he's told Chilwell this season, you're not in our plans, you're not even a backup, if you want to play you need to leave. He didn't leave and although Rudkin is also out of his depth, he would have been trying to get rid of Ward to any ****er, at any price. Which means Ward has refused to go out on loan, or reduce his salary knowing full well he's scamming a living as our "number 1". So yes. He deserves everything he gets and then some. Third choice PL GK is money for old rope - so I don't blame him, but yes, boo him, boo him till his contract runs out and he retires as no ****er will pay anywhere close to his wages right now. 5 3
moseeds Posted 22 December 2024 Posted 22 December 2024 Ward is going to be our most expensive signing ever. £12m up front and then 2 relegations costing what £60m each at least?
foxfanazer Posted 22 December 2024 Posted 22 December 2024 He's quite simply an embarrassment to the club and I hope he knows it

when_you're_smiling Posted 22 December 2024 Posted 22 December 2024 RVN’s actual quotes from The Guardian match report - Van Nistelrooy said of Ward’s treatment: “We all understand disappointment from the crowd, but it should not all go to one player. Booing or being disappointed with the result, I think it’s a right of a supporter, of a fan, to show your emotions, and we all do that, but when it really goes to one person that is something that is hard to see for me personally. I think he kept his composure very well; it is not easy when something happens like that. I think he handled it very well. It must be difficult for him. Hopefully he can turn things around quickly.” https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/dec/22/leicester-wolves-premier-league-match-report 1

RowlattsFox Posted 22 December 2024 Posted 22 December 2024 He's never going to respond to questions about Ward by saying "the useless **** deserved it', always going to stick up for him. Don't see how he can pick Ward again, just for Wards benefit if nothing else. We will get beat with Gordon Banks in goal at Liverpool, but Ward will get blamed for it if he plays. 2

Iverson came in for him when we got relegated and everyone agreed we would have stayed up with him in goal, and he was benched for him, Inexcusable.
Paninistickers Posted 22 December 2024 Posted 22 December 2024 if you have me a choice of Ward starting at Anfield but as reward RVN having jacked it, I'd take that. Yup. for real 1
FrankieADZ Posted 22 December 2024 Posted 22 December 2024 has anyone shown ruud Ward's highlight reel from the season we went down? he'll see why if he watches that, and we had a better team overall then as well

Vacamion Posted 22 December 2024 Posted 22 December 2024 In addition to the goals, there was a bad one at 0-0 where the ball went over the top and the Wolves attacker beat our defender, but miscontrolled it. Ward, not communicating with his defence, had rushed out and would have been in no man's land, if the attacker had been able to control it. He got away with one. 3

Utter crap. No wonder we’re in the shit, every dick at this club gets a free pass because people are scared to be call ‘bad supporters’. We genuinely cheer them on for relegation. Why does booing a bloke who is literally relegating us mean we don’t support Leicester? We pay thousands a season, we expect the bare minimum and we’re not even getting that with Ward. Turns down moves, happy to be paid 50k a week and do **** all. Edited 22 December 2024 by Leicester_Loyal 9

The performances were as bad with Iversen and we didn't stop shipping goals (remember that Fulham game when he was dross). Both Iversen and Ward can't perform at this level. Heck - we don't even know if Iversen is remotely match fit at the moment. It's not Ruud's fault that he has lost our no 1 and 2 keeper to injury. I agree that i would rather have seen Iversen playing today, but there must be a reason why he hasn't featured at all, even in the Carabou cup, so i am going to have to just say something is going on there and Ruud had just had to lump it. Ward should be nowhere near the squad again, and they need to get rid of Iversen. My big, big fear is that Mads gets sold in the January window.
WoodyFox Posted 22 December 2024 Posted 22 December 2024 Has to be some kind of sick joke at this point??
