We're in the grip of a cost of living crisis. Inflation to hit 10%+.

Families incomes stretched to the limits..

Where does that leave attending football matches and all the cost that incurs?...

£100 a time (taking all the expenses into consideration) to go to see a game?  Good value for money? Definitely not watching Leicester !!

Wonder if crowds are going to drop as people's income is squeezed and the fact going to football now is such poor value for money.

Football needs a massive dose of realisation.

The fans putting it to the back of their priorities would be very interesting.

Irrespective of the value for money many won’t have enough money to buy season tickets anyway. Having said that I suspect plenty of others would take their place.

I'm entering the season ticket ballot and I'll go to a fair few away games.

Yeah, we're shit, yeah it's expensive, but I just can't stop.

I was going to say I guess its better than heroin addiction, but I'm not so sure lol

End if season is almost always poor value. Always hated games after April. Even if you have something template for, the opponent is often half arsed.

Give me the part of the season from late September to late Feb. Dark, cold, edgy, Important. Worth every penny.

The 3 keepers we currently have are not the answer - I’ve wondered for a long time what the hell Mike Stowell does as well. Need to rid of him too and need a complete overhaul in the goalkeeping department

I love going to Leicester games when I can, but living in the North West, it's extremely costly when you factor in fuel, match ticket, food etc. The cost of football in general is horrendous these days both in terms of ticket prices and TV prices, Sky, BT etc.

Its not the players fault but it does leave a bit of a sour taste when we spend our hard earned money, of which many have very little spare at the moment, whilst most players earn more a week than the average person does in 4-5 years.

Watching Leicester this season has been a drag at times as well as we've played some dreadful football this season and does make you think at times, why do I waste my money.

£100?

What's the breakdown here (presuming it's just you, not family).

Appreciate if that includes travel.

Any of the stuff spent at the ground need not be - food, drink etc. Bring your own to save costs!

I made a point about this last week.

Ultimately we are there for entertainment. Loyalty or not ...we want to be entertained. The cost varies for people as does the disposable income we have to spend on football.....but when the product becomes unattractive the demand reduces. Leicester can ill afford that right now given the stadium is heading for expansion and the squad needs refreshing.

I went to the away game at spurs and it was an expensive day. I was frustrated at the lineup given how far people had travelled...I was even more frustrated watching us have 60% meaningless possession.

The worst part is after being told by the manager that we are learning/have a young squad blah blah.

There's no such thing as blind faith and loyalty. The hype dies and so does the business. The owners will know this.

Great question after I just got home after driving a round trip of 275 miles.

Still fuming not just about our team and management but modern football and time wasting. At this moment I've had enough and so have most of the STH that sit near me who won't be going on Wednesday. Can only take so much and today felt like a watershed moment.

Hope so, I want a season ticket. Even after performances like today.

It depends what people want to do with their free time. For me, it’s 2 times a month where me and my lad go and watch our team play. In many ways it can be priceless.

Although even going out with mates, the cost of tickets for LCFC is cheaper than the average for a concert, comedy gig, theatre show etc. Yes there is a cost of living crisis, but we’ve all (most of us) just spent some very dull times living in lock down and lots are prepared to spend money to have fun again.

I'd anyone thinks it is tough making ends meet at the moment, roll on one year. It is going to be brutal.

Every time I go to a game its costing me about 60 quid a time when you include ticket, couple of pints and petrol.

There is nothing else in this world you'd pay that money for and continue to do so week after week if it was total shit.

Like I said before,  no more.  I'm out until management changes.  It's not worth the money, it's not worth the mood it puts you in.  If they don't give a toss, why should I.

Many years ago, I came to the conclusion that football was more addictive than the most powerful, crack-cocaine drug.

You can give up drugs, but no real football fan ever gives up their team.

At its best .. football gives me a high that nothing, and I mean nothing else. can give me.   I'm a football junkie!

If you compare it some of the prices on the continent then yes.

Roma after offering tickets for as low as 10 euros for the semi-final have just made all of their allocation to Tirana free

That would be a great idea not to turn up on Wednesday. Imagine them trying to lie about the attendance when it would be glaringly obvious with thousands of empty seats. It would really get the message over to Top and the board that the fans have had enough of Rogers and his shite football. Come on lets not turn up to a dead rubber of a game and show them how p*ssed off we all are.

So many STH saying they won't be going? It's your team! Through thick and thin, beggers belief to be honest and maybe this will filter out some of the "post 2016" glory fans?

I understand that it can cost a bit, but if you're struggling maybe don't have that 3rd or 4th pint, make some grub from home instead of buying the overpriced rubbish at the stadium? It's madness how many fans are saying they won't go on Wednesday.

Oh how I miss championship fans. Yes it's not great at the moment compared to the last couple of years, but every team has those years, what about compared to longer? Is it that terrible that we would ask for a mass avoidance of attendance?
