Very poor first half. Can't keep the ball, despite playing a below par on the beach Chelsea. Two strikers who might as well be in the stands. Thomas is so far out of his depth v Reece James it's not even funny. The saddest thing about the match though is seeing Kante. I have never seen him play so badly- bad touches, fouls, not sharp enough, poor passing. Looks finished.

So they have nothing to play for and are on the beech, why doesn't that apply to us with nothing to play for?

I’m sad that I think this but I just don’t think Luke Thomas is good enough at this level. I get that he’s very young but he’s played a lot of PL football for someone so young and I just don’t think he’s improving.

He's not good enough no. But against Reeve James it looks even worse. James is quicker stronger, cleverer. It's unbelievable England has two world class right backs. How do you choose between the two? Both sensational.

He has definitely shown enough as a traditional left back for us to persevere with him.

He hasn't got the natural engine to get up and down, and that will limit his ceiling. Needs to spend the summer adding some upper body strength. I thought at times this season (e.g home v Man Utd) he looked like he was maturing physically, but tonight he is being shown up a bit.

Needs a loan

Or just needs to find the form he showed for the majority of the season up until the last 2 months. There's nothing a loan with do for his game given the chronic injuries we get at full back, he'll always be good for 20+ games in the PL at the best training facility in Europe.

He needs to get physically stronger though and work on his crossing which has regressed massively.

Cos we cant string two passes together. It's not his fault we've not been in their half hardly yet.

Dare I say it, we could step him in to midfield and see if it disrupts their flow and go to a back 4?

I suspect that might happen.

That's how I see it too.

Justin on for Thomas, and maybe put Barnes or Lookman on for Nacho? Those two haven't done too much right so far.

Justin is unavailable, would have to be RP.

Nacho not in the game.

Don’t know why Brendan changed a winning side unless of injuries not really heard of any as we played bloody superb second half V Watford ?

He has to match up any team that's plays 3 or 5 at the back, it's like his excuse to get more defenders out there.

See what I mean?

Nacho is not in the game but he has stringed more together than Vardy

6-3

All successful

But everyone here is Nacho is not in the game but also Vardy is not receiving service?

Help me make it make sense

Reece James has come on amazingly from the player he was. Him and Trent are currently two of the best RB’s in the world for sure

I mean both sides being on the beach surely means we would have more joy but but our passing and touch at times has been woeful.

The stats completely back that up

We’ve had one shot on target so far

If Bertrand had worked out and our injuries not severe then Thomas would have been on loan all season. Can see us releasing Bertrand and looking for similar cover again before allowing his loan away.
