Leicester City players will thank the Blue Army for their tremendous support throughout the 2021/22 season with a lap of appreciation after the Southampton game at King Power Stadium on Sunday 22 May (4pm BST kick-off).

- Players to show their support to the Blue Army after Sunday’s fixture
- Foxes to end their season against Southampton on Filbert Way
- The Club kindly asks supporters to remain in their seats and keep off the pitch and perimeter track

The Foxes will conclude their campaign on Filbert Way against the Saints, with Chairman Khun Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha, the players and First Team staff to be joined by their families post-match to show their gratitude for the support received by the City faithful this season.

To ensure the lap of appreciation can take place, and for the safety of players and their young families, the Club kindly asks supporters to remain in their seats and keep off the pitch and the perimeter track.

Before the game, Alan ‘The Birch’ Birchenall will embark on his 40th Annual End of Season Run in aid of Leicester Hospitals Charity’s Neonatal Incubator Appeal.

Launched by The Birch in the early 1980s - and curtailed over recent years by the COVID-19 pandemic - the previous 39 runs have enabled the much-loved Club Ambassador to raise over £1M, with more than 100 local charities benefiting from that money over the years.

The Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation donated all funds raised throughout April to the Neonatal Incubator Appeal, which specialises in care of babies in the first 28 days of their life and who have either been born early, have low weight or who have a medical condition that requires specialised treatment.

They wish to replace older incubators and upgrade them with the very latest model that encompasses state of the art technology to give babies the best chance of survival.

If you would like to volunteer as a bucket collector for the day, please contact [email protected] for further details.

I sense embarrassment as they do a lap of honour to a half empty stadium.

I sense arguments on foxestalk as half the forum calls the other half of the forum plastic for leaving early.

Invite Nigel Pearson to tag along and I'll stay.

Wouldn’t put it past his attendance pre match, given his relationship with Birchenall

Be great to see Rebekah Vardy walking round the pitch. Heart of gold that one ❤️

"Bex: Hey Caroline.  The lads were absolutely FEWMIN at the sparse crowd while they did their lap of the pitch.  Be a love and see if you can flog this to The Sun for me, will you?

Get Nigel Pearson in to dual wield t-shirt cannons with his shirt off as they go round.
