I think that Ayoze is benefiting from that here. Perhaps it is a case of absence makes the heart grow fonder but just revisit his thread if you need reminding how plain ineffectual he was. I think that when you have one player that is so far below the level of his team mates is is easy to identify what is holding that team back. Anyway, whatever, I won't miss him. I won't miss his tootlings and nurdlings, I won;t miss his misplaced passes and him tripping over his own shadow. I will wave him a cheery farewell and say thank God for that. Tootlings and nurdlings 😂 what an apt descriptor. Honestly when I read some of the stuff here I wonder if I'm watching a different sport. Goodbye Ayoze, don't let the door hit your arse on the way out me duck. 2

DezFox Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Sometimes he isn’t that bad and think he probably gets more flack than he deserves. I think if he was cheaper or anywhere near his market value he wouldn’t have it so bad. A lot of people mention his hat trick against Southampton but let’s face it we didn’t need his goals then, we need them when its 0-0 and it doesn’t come. How many times I have watched him come on and frustrate me with his touch and decisions about 5 times in first 5 mins. Would love to say see ya but doubt he will be gone. 1

Also if he was regularly played in his best position then I am sure he would be more consistent. Vardy would be crap if we played him in goal!

I remember his crucial miss against Chelsea far more than his hat trick against Southampton. I've nothing against the guy, seems a good pro, but I've largely been very frustrated by him as a player. 2 1
Clever Fox Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 He's a good player but I'm not sure why we bought him. He's been a victim of Brendan continuing to play players out of their best positions on which we signed them. He's not quick enough for a winger so he's competing againt Maddison for a place in the Team. We need to let him go now and move on. 2

Remember the assist for Maddison's goal against PSV when we were a goal down....he does do something when we desperately need something to happen in vital games 2

I understand why fans get frustrated by him though but I'm not sure he deserves as much stick as he's got on here over the past few years. Decent player but we paid too much for him, but that isn't his fault. Weve had better players and we've had worse players. 4
MPH Posted 16 July 2022 Posted 16 July 2022 I don’t hate Ayoze Perez… he’s a squad player.. scored some decent goals… but if someone needs to go to kickstart some rebuild options them I’m all for it! 2

Getting struck by the ball like an unsuspecting supporter in the crowd doesn't an assist or interception make 🤣🤣 1

Molson Canadian Posted 26 August 2022 Posted 26 August 2022 (edited) We are letting him go for free ? Edited 26 August 2022 by Molson Canadian
st albans fox Posted 26 August 2022 Posted 26 August 2022 £7.5 million? his salary is £4m so his loyalty bonus must be £3.5m? so we sell him on a free and he forgoes that loyalty bonus ?? 1
berniethebolt Posted 26 August 2022 Posted 26 August 2022 That tweet doesnt make sense.. Perez can't give anything up and go for free, the club hold his contract and will want a fee... unless he's buying out his own contract, to go for nothing.. 1
