Tielemans and Praet are levels above everyone else on the pitch.

Iheanacho has been horrible.

Can’t see what Rodgers problem is with Praet, great player who makes intelligent runs on and off the ball and links up well with Youri.

Well to be fair some of us on the forum over rate him and I’d put myself in that category. We’ve lost quite a few matches with him in the side and on occasion he either loses some physical duels or goes missing. But I’d caveat that by saying he’s never had a 10-15 match streak in the league, which I think would do him (and us) the world of good.

In my opinion Praet would comfortably not only start but be one of the best players for half of the teams in the league. Maybe he’s not quite good enough for a team chasing top 5, but I don’t think this is a Soumare or Adrien Silva case of not adapting to the league, nor being too slow for it like Iborra. Praet on a technical level is far superior to Ndidi, Albrighton or even Barnes.

He lost out because Tielemans is in front of him. Which makes it odd that we signed him in the first place 🤣!

Main things I'd say from the 1st half so far -

Vestergaard just doesn't ever look comfortable defending, and Amartey looks suspect when put under pressure on the ball.

Luke Thomas just seems uncomfortable and seems to make errors of judgement or quality in attack.

Praet and Tielemans are the brightest sparks in terms of actually getting quality balls forward.

Iheanacho getting in good positions but also poor decisions/quality in the final third.

Early on we were just passing along the back 3, playing a ball into midfield which would immediately go back to the CB who'd played it out and then it would go across the back 3 the other way on loop but that seems to have been rectified a bit as the game's gone on.

All in all though I think we've been decent going forward and not too troubled at the back.

This isn't the 2nd team. Both teams today feature a mix of first 11 and squad players

Surely this is the second team? 8 of the 11 are definitely second string if everyone is fit. And of the other 3, Wilf is only playing in this game because he's just back from injury and Youri because he's probably about to leave. The third, Castagne, is currently behind Ricardo and Justin, it seems.

Iheanacho can finish, however whilst he has game like this last 40 minutes; he’s never pushing Vardy or even Daka. So frustrating.

He’s overrated on Foxestalk and I think personally he’s only a solid player. However before his injury the season before last, he was a mainstay in the team and I’d started to alter my opinion on him.

If we really want to sell a player to generate some funds, for me it wouldn’t be Thomas, Praet and definitely not Tielemans

It’d be Nacho. He’s bang average really
