Praet's through-balls are nowhere near the quality of Tielemans.

Tielemans & Praet the standouts in that half, enjoyable positive football from both.

 

As for the negatives, Daka, Iheanacho & Thomas have been too wasteful in and around the 18 yard box.

Pretty good if lacking intensity of course. Nice stuff from Dennis and Youri and Jannik looking pretty sound but it is only Derby.

It’s simple stuff really. 
 

Compare how he picks up the ball when he drops into the 10 / area behind the forward. 
 

Maddison picks it up on the half turn and is away. His head is up and looking around him. 
 

Iheanacho is back to goal, head down, then turning. Simple things but slows the game down. 
 

I like Nacho and he’s capable of scoring the goals that Forest, Newcastle, Fulham,  Bournemouth etc need. However we could spare him.

That was grim. Tielemans played a few quality balls. Praet okay, but against crap and still not really having any truly significant influence. Daka and Nacho awful. Just cannot imagine starting either ahead of Vards. So our goal threat remains hanging on the fitness an octogenarian 😞👍

Castagne just doesn't impress me as much as he does others, I just expect more out of him, he seems to be reluctant to go forward, the same with Ricardo these days. Is it just me or do we look too lopsided? Against Hull and today, only the Left backs have been allowed to go forward, when arguably Ricardo and Castagne have more quality than Justin and Thomas.

I'm enjoying seeing Wilf. He's getting into good positions and seems nimble. Obviously still quite rusty but still great to see him out there.

Considering Rodgers is suppose to be a technical coach and likes possession based football its amazing how awkward so many of his players are. Half of them look like they’re about to trip over their own feet most the time.

Not bad half, we should be at least a couple of goals up, but playing some pretty good stuff.

Judging by minutes played so far, I would expect Iheanacho and Ndidi to come off at half time. 
I would imagine Castagne, Thomas, Soyuncu, Praet, Tielemans and Daka to be getting close to 90 minutes under their belt now.
