If we get the tactics right, everyone clicks and keeps fit and free from injuries and the entire Colombian beach volleyball begs for my sweet, sweet love it should be a good season. Hoping ypu get everything in place for a great season ahead.

Would be a mighty impressive demonstration of his commitment to the club, though.
AmarteyAndChill Posted 30 July 2022 Posted 30 July 2022 Schmeichel Ricardo Fofana Evans Castagne Tielemans Ndidi KDH Maddison Vardy Barnes the team that starts vs Brentford too

Merchant_Banker Posted 30 July 2022 Posted 30 July 2022 I am travelling to the KP tomorrow for the first time in years to watch the match and am wondering what parking will be like. I thought about parking at Morrisons, but not sure if I would get a ticket. Grateful for any advice. Thanks

Thanks I parked at morrisons last season on a Sunday I think you only get an hour and a half but I never got a ticket I think u would be better off not risking it and park down near the old Derick Curtis cars it shouldn't be too busy 1

Freeman's Common charity car parks is an option but its a bit tricky getting away afterwards. If you don't mind a walk, you can usually find street parking off Welford Road up towards Grimsby Fisheries. 1
richard123 Posted 31 July 2022 Posted 31 July 2022 Looking forward to this. It should give us an indication on how Brendan will set up for Brenford. I guess the starting 11 will be similar. Also if Madders, Barnes, Schmeichel, Fofana all start and get 60mins or more it will say they are not near leaving as doubt it would be risked. Kasper Ricardo Evans Foafana Justin Ndidi KDH Pèrez/ Sharky Madders Barnes VARDS I think Youri will be off and won't be in the starting 11.

Kasper Ricardo Evans Foafana Justin Ndidi KDH Pèrez/ Sharky Madders Barnes VARDS I think Youri will be off and won't be in the starting 11. If Youri is still here, he starts IMO. I would say our strongest XI would play, at least in the first half as we prepare for Brentford. The only real questions are Who plays at full back? I would say Castagne is our best full back, and will get in ahead of Justin with Ricardo on the right - but I don’t think we lose too much of Justin is selected. Who plays on the right? Maddison is probably our best option, but he is also far better in the 10 role. If Madders is in the 10 role, who joins him in CM - Ndidi, Tielemans, KDH, Soumare and Praet are all good enough. I would say at this stage if Maddison is 10 the other two would be Youri and Ndidi - which is incredibly harsh on KDH.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 31 July 2022 Posted 31 July 2022 Kasper Ricardo Wes Evans Justin Ndidi KDH Youri Maddison Barnes Vardy 3-1 Citeh, a lot of disappointed journos. 2
Silebyfox_89 Posted 31 July 2022 Posted 31 July 2022 Given the current squad, I'd go with this: 1st half 4-4-2 with a diamond Kasper Ricardo Evans little wes Justin Ndidi Youri KDH Madz Paka Vardy 2nd half move to a 4-3-3 then by 60 mins then give this team a run out: Kasper Castagne cags vesty Thomas Mendy Praet Hamza Barnes Sharkey Nacho
Jakemoore Posted 31 July 2022 Posted 31 July 2022 Shame that this is going to clash with the womens euros final. I’m not massively in to womens football but I’ve enjoyed watching the lioness’ play. They’re 100% all the time and it’s pretty chaotic with little to no shape but very entertaining. I’ll have us on my iPad and the girls on the tv. Fingers crossed for two wins! 3

I think Callum Wright playing as the RCM with KDH LCM and Maddison as the ACM and Ndidi or Soumare as DCM would be something to consider. Wright being the Wildcard to see how he gets on but if Praet doesn't leave then he's the ideal player for this system thst at times exposed Tielemans when we did play it. Apparently Madueke is out for 5-6 months. If we can’t sign our first choice option for the right wing, maybe we should play the diamond?? Like you say we have the players to make it work. I know there’s alternatives to Madueke but I do wonder who we will target! If Praet leaves maybe we could sign a midfielder who would fit the diamond system. Houssem Aouar would be decent.

There are small signs on some of the lamp posts. After a normal game you're sitting there for 20 minutes trying to get out though. I normally park at Newarke St NCP, I'd rather spend the time walking. Edited 31 July 2022 by Bourbon Fox 1

On form I think he slightly edges both Castagne and Justin although Justin has the bigger ceiling to develop. We are in good shape for full backs. Maddison is best as a 10 and centre will roam to switch across the front. What I meant by Tielemans is if he is close to leaving it's pointless starting him. I dont think we will miss him as much as people think. He's technically 1st class but he is slow as a donkey and that hurts in the prem league. Would be class in Italy where teams don't play the press as hard. If we keep Praet and Soumare we are ok in the middle. The gapping weakness is the right wing / attacker place. If we do manage to shift a few this is the most important position to invest in, if we don't, I'm sure Albrighton will turn up as he always has. 2
