I think I heard somewhere that Ian Stringer left for health reasons

Correct, but now on the road to recovery and working for Talksport.

Edit, can’t wait for him to do a Bristol City game! Hello Ian… :giggle:

Owen needs to say....

Brendan we've got fans phoning up saying your tactics and in game decisions are costing goals and points... what do you say ?

Many fans are saying you should be sacked...why are you the right guy?

That is the sort of question that Stringer would have asked Nigel and look how that ended

...if I recall, it is something to do with family time, mainly getting the opportunity to watch his son play football, now that we are playing on Saturdays!!!

You only get those developmental years once so I get why he wants to be there

Can’t really blame them for not going in hard on the manager or the squad. The moment they do and the club get wind of it they’ll just start revoking access. RL need to be balanced in their reporting for their own sake.

Regarding Stringer, good to see he’s doing better.

Twice now on Twitter he’s mentioned how Talksport have been looking after him, no mention of RL though.

Assume he won’t be returning…

Expecting RL to be organising the torches and the pitchforks is unrealistic, imho.

I'd be very surprised and more than a little concerned if that was his opener

Interesting show tho if he did

The tactics guy is a welcome innovation. Piper will be a miss for me, he is proper Leicester.

He was a good follow on Twitter the past few seasons breaking down our games

He’s at talksport now, strange there’s been no mention of him or leaving, especially after being at RL for what 10-15 years

Possibly health reasons which is understandable, but it could have been money also! no doubt you get offered double pay cheque at talksport than you would on BBC Radio Leicester. So much for "being proud and honoured to commentate on your own club every week"

So it's ok for the club to close down difficult questions? Intimidating the interviewer?

The rl interview should represent the fans and politely ask the questions on everyone's lips.

When’s he going, end of season ?

I'm surprised he’s leaving, quite like him on there

He’s realised that he’s missing out on his sons football development. Instead he’s been going to watch us pass a ball backwards and sideways and conceded easy goals to rubbish teams……… no brainer really. Quality of his sons games are probably better than ours.

But they are not the questions on everyone's lips,  many of us can see the bigger picture.

The Manager or anyone at the club has the right to answer how they see fit, as Pearson did with the Ostrich comment.

Because he was sacked.

Rodgers does mot acknlowledge any oerson criticism...  wose he blsmes the club (judyified in going to war), the fans (entitled and mot revogniding that the team have  over performed) and the players who lack quality and fight (playing in his slow motion style).  Why not ask him to address his critics... 4 out of 5 lcfc fans want him gone

Do they really,  so you have surveyed a wide demographic of city fans have you.  We are fickle lot,  it seems only yesterday when the fans wanted the previous manager gone and nearly everyone wanted Rodgers in.

I dont know a fan who doesn't want these questions put to rodgers. Wouldn't you,?
