Shane Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Maddison playing higher up closer to Vardy in these last few minutes. Please keep him there, we need his brilliance in the final third.
Aus Fox Posted 20 August 2022 Author Posted 20 August 2022 Not a bad half, playing some really nice football and we are clearly the better team. Justin and KDH the standouts, but very impressed with Perez, I know he gets a bit of flack and can be interesting to watch at times, but I feel we’re a better team overall with him in. 1

At Harvey's low end, he is like Gray -- run fast, make a bad decision at the end of the run. But his top end is some really talented and creative football, along with a serious scoring threat. 1
SheppyFox Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Yawn Rodger’s ball. The boys have downed tools, no amount of denial will change that. Bin BR off and see the immediate uplift in effort and performance.

TrickyTrevLeftPeg Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Think we're all just waiting for the sucker punch of when Southampton score. These are absolutely terrible and if we lose this match we really are in for a long difficult and dare I say it.... relegation threatening season. 1

sishades Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 BR must change this at HT as we have created almost nothing, and we have scheduled our collapse to come into effect after 1 hour. Very poor in that final third, lots of effort though but really do not look like scoring at all.
leicesterseddon Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 70% possession, 0 shots on target. We all know what happens next
Guest Col city fan Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Same old really In light of the nice, compact football we’ve only had four shots off target all half. Too pretty. Not incisive
ARM1968 Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 So everyone is playing pretty well but we can’t score against a white Southampton. This bodes well.
South Shire Fox Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Absolute snoozefest, wheres the movement? Far too much turning back towards our own goal when theres chances to move forward, be braver ffs
whoareyaaa Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 They look a better team than last season harder to break down we need Nacho or Daka on pointless playing with one striker at home against these. Nacho on Perez off

I think the same goes with Mendy and (to a lesser extent) Kevin. From the manager POV -- no muss, no fuss, no drama, just tell Dan where I need him, give him a couple words of strategy, and on he goes! No drama, he literally makes mistakes every game and could end up getting the manager the sack 😂 not that I’m saying Soyuncu is better, but surely you’d try someone else
StriderHiryu Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Played well but didn't make enough chances. That said Southampton totally content to sit back and hit us on the break, so breaking them down will be a challenge.
fleshdaddy Posted 20 August 2022 Posted 20 August 2022 Dull as dishwater. I'd just like to enjoy watching us play again.

Is there a correlation between when Rogers started mentioning the word "intensity" every other sentence and us not showing any? I didn't remember hearing the word so often two years or so ago but I do remember seeing a lot more of it.
