Honestly don't see us getting anything at Brentford and Palace may have a new manager by the time we play them in time for his first game. :scarf:

I'm not sure Palace are sacking Vieira any time soon. Arsenal away next up will be seen as an unlikely place to get a result although they may be able to poo house a draw (they've been good at that). I think our game at Selhurst Park will then be seen as the must win. If we win that, we jump them in the table and they are in big poop. I dont think they pull the trigger till then.

How many goals in the last 5 games? Lots conceded but that is about it. with a team that has won 7 with the other 19 lost or drawn its not always easy to see where the next point is coming from. With only goal difference holding LC above a relegation slot and sporting the worst form of the bottom 6 clubs its like we threw the dice and are now riding the snake.

The reality from the last 6 games is below. Brentford in the top 5 and Leeds, Forest and Palace are the bottom 3. Sure, last 4 games would show a different picture! Love seeing Newcastle bottom 4 in this.

It’s been pointed out before, but we’re just not equipped for a relegation battle.

We’ve not won a single close game, all our wins have been by more than two goals, and of the three draws, two were only draws because we conceded in the last four minutes. When the margins have been tight we’ve fell the wrong side of it every time. There’s going to be so many tight games in the run in and no evidence we’ll get anything from them.

Yeah thats a bad sign, shows weak mentality, we can win when we dominate, but thats it.

Staying up definitely means more Rodgers but with a worse squad than now. Grim scenario whatever the outcome

We probably do need a reset which will mean relegation, the sad side of it though is we wont have managed what palace and southampton did with their current long runs in the EPL, but we did win some trophies whilst they didnt so it was a fun ride.

If bourne is right though, not only is it alarming that those who run the club cannot recognise the problems, but also shows their ambition is gone, because even if we do stay up it shows they now happy with 17th.

Huge results in our favour tonight!

Foxestalk is far too hysterical. Yes we are very much in a relegation but so are 8 other teams no way are we dead certain for the chop. We have maddison, Barnes and Tilemans we now also have a game in hand over 4 teams and we have points on the board to 4 teams.

We are. Currently 4 to 1 to go down and that feels about right to me.

Lump on that 4/1 now. You need to put on enough so that it hurts to lose it. If you’re not sure just double the stake. If we’re relegated then you have something to cushion the blow. If we’re not you’ve just bought our survival - you, me and perhaps another 300,000 odd will be very grateful.

I confess to having put a wad on Spurs to win the PL in the dying days of 2015/16. Best money I’ve ever spent. Made a lot of people very happy.

My sentiments exactly which is why l lumped £100 @ 6/1 the day after Southampton game. Considered it at 8/1 before that game but was convinced we would beat them. Another heart ruling head syndrome, silly me.

We're not down but we're currently looking the worst of all of them for me. We've got to pray we get some more wondergoals.

I think that's just a bit of negative bais coming out.

Even in the last 6 games we have won as many games as 10 other teams.

There is little between the bottom 8.

Looking at the teams left in the conference league there’s a very good chance west ham go all the way.

Not sure the tired points teams tend to give away because of these ties will be too welcome in a relegation fight.

Might go down in style by winning it.

Do they still let relegated teams play in the Europa League?

I assume so. Same as if a league 2 team won the fa cup.

Was it wigan who did it last?

There is a chance we could go into the International Break with the mens first team, mens under 21s, and the womens team all bottom of their leagues

Doesn’t bleat of a well run club at the moment across the board does it?

That said, I still don’t think we’ll be relegated this season.

There are 8 other teams in the mix for relegation.  It's the closest it's been for years with 9 clubs separated by 5 points.

We have 12 games to go.

The good news is that 7 of them are against other relegation threatened teams.

The bad news is that 7 of them are against other relegation threatened teams.

That’s the beauty of it

Great opportunity if so, for them to have a mentality reset over the next two weeks and then collectively attempt to stay up. That's the beauty of it.

And the man in charge of it all would still keep his job!

Anyone remember Billy McNeill in the 1986/87 season. He began the season as Manchester City manager but quit a few weeks in to take over at Aston Villa and both Man City and Villa were relegated to Division Two. And guess who was the third team to go down with them. Yes that's right, it was us.

this could honestly be an awful year to go down as well.

you lose a strong burnley but then possibly just a shef u and maybe a millwall or luton. 3 small teams will drop to league 1.

We go down potentially with southampton, who would hold on to most other than JWP and lavia. ready made for a promo push imo. Plus a bmouth or another bigger club.

oursleves and west ham would probably be dismantled big time.

then if you look below, you could get ipswich, shef w and maybe derby all refreshed and likely to look up rather than down.

Would not be a smooth transition at all. complete recipe for disaster.

Southampton, Watford, bmouth, shef w, midlesborough, blackburn, norwich, west brom  Wouldn’t go in confident at all.

Exactly this.

the Championship is a slog and you need the right mentality- something we desperately lack at the minute.

We can’t fool ourselves we would walk that division.

we need to stay up and rebuild.
