Southampton having a decent transfer window and are linked to some good players. Gakpo being one. At least we’re taking their head of recruitment, hopefully most of these players are coming from him and we can steal some of these deals later down the line.

People moaning cause they want Leicester player's to have good rating in fifa 23, so signing like him would make them happy for fifa 23😂😂

No, "club making signings" is not what I am referring to

Rodgers, the financial issue ( whatever that is) our current league position,and so on and on.

Swear some on here need to manage their own expectations. Read the room. We haven’t got a huge amount to buy this player or anyone, don’t get upset by something that was never happening anyway that’s your personal issue if you truly believed we would when for months we had jack. Expect huge losses in next years annual report. Come to terms half way during pre season that something wasn’t quite right.

If Southampton punt Stephens and Bednarek today and bring in Caleta-Car and Lacroix as replacements, on top of the Bella-Kotchap deal earlier in the window they've had a monstrous summer for beefing up at CB.

We don't have the money ?, or is it an FFP issue, is it our wage bill, or someone wanting their debt paying back ??

Seems like different folks believe different things, it all goes back to bad management, and not just that of Rodgers.

This has been the most baffling window for us I can remember. The silence from Top and Susan is deafening and whatever you feel about Rodgers and his future here. he's been badly let down by the club.

 

In time I guess we'll find out why. But I've said it before and got pelters for it, we as a club are shockingly bad communicators.

 

Strap in for a relegations battle and the loss of more players in January!

If that was the case, they would need to reconsider or pump huge money into the project. You can’t lose a chunk of targets on principle. Either keep the no release clause policy or pay them more.

Bit too early to judge, it is usually best to judge a window after at least a year. I was pretty pleased with ours last year but we were 0 for 5 in reality.

Are these actually Glover's recommendations?! Surely he's on gardening leave. They've just got Man City's Head of Academy and Recruitment and they've signed a load of Man City academy players. Why would a new Head of Recruitment want to sign all his predecessors targets, it doesn't exactly boost his reputation.

Most of the time when players sign, they have been longer term targets.

 

eg we have been tracking Faes for a while.
