Torino telling the Italian press that they tried everything to sign Praet and that we “simply wouldn’t let him go”

I suspect that, more accurately, they low-balled us all summer and we didn’t have time to get a winger before the window shut, so he stays as cover for the right side. Suspect he would have gone if every winger in Europe hadn’t turned us down 😂

Yep. Gives their fans the impression they did everything they could to sign him.

Hello guis from Turin, sorry to bother you. We did hope to have again Dennis this season, he did very well last year. Torino FC has a very poor management, we know!….. but knowing  Praet willingness to play the upcoming World Cup his participation is clearly at risk because he never play with foxes . On top.. he would to move … didn’t get the reason of your club to retain him. I think on Jan will come for sure if will stay on bench as today…the contract will expire in 24… we like very much Dennis.

Because you offered about 6 quid for him. Offer the asking price and he’s yours.

Your club offered a pittance for Praet, not willing to buy him but wanted another loan, we need players out of our squad and also need the money so you have best question your owners integrity to your fans and Dennis Praet…

Well here they stated 8,5 + bonus… but who knows the true

The truth is we're fools for not letting him go when we're already paying too much in wages. Praet, Vestergaard and Mendy should have all been allowed to leave for free to solve the wages issue, they're all going to leave for free at this rate anyway but now we're paying them £50k+ a week each to do nothing for another season.

I was thinking the same…Turin managers stretched too much the situation anyhow and acted through third parties not 1 to 1

Do you know of any decent cheap right wingers available in the Italian leagues?

So we should have allowed all of them to go for free, that's definitely a better idea than selling them for a lowball figure!

First, The Italian League is getting worse and worse… no way to compare our league with yours… premier Is far above us. Look at Radonjic he play on the left but is right foot …. The best one I believe he can play very well in your team is this guy, Davide Frattesi..

https://www.transfermarkt.it/davide-frattesi/profil/spieler/394300
quite costly for an Italian club but cheap for U

If we insisted on keeping Praet then the least we can do for the player is give him some game time. I think this is the time to get most of the squad involved to get some ownership and collective responsibility for the results. It might also allow players in the usual starting 11 to come on a bit later in matches and provide that backbone to see out games

It's not us, nor the board, who decide whether Praet gets game time or not.

Linked again to them. £8m.

We’re going to lose a small fortune in players during the next 12 months.

I'd snap their hand off, didn't they offer only €8m last summer?

Do you guys think Praet is that bad? I may not be his biggest fan, but I've never once questioned his commitment to the club or the fact in my own opinion he always puts a shift in when he finally gets on the pitch. I can't particularly recall him having a bad game, I am not saying he is outstanding but to me he puts in a more than acceptable performance every time. I feel €8,000,000 or £8,000,000 is a snip compared to say Bertrand or Vestergaard and seemingly he is prepared to take a pay cut as well.

I do like him

However it appears he wants to be starting regularly which I don’t think we can really offer him

Even if Tielemans and Maddison leave by next season I don’t think he is quite at the level to come in and replace either of them

I would be happy to keep him as a squad player, but it sounds like he doesn’t want to be one which is absolutely fair enough

Sounds like he is willing to take a pay cut to go back to Torino in January as well
