Scouts, recruitment analysts, financial, Brendan, Rudkin, Top. Loads of people are involved. Just because you don’t like Rodgers doesn’t mean everything is his fault. We signed Slimani, Musa, Silva, Inler, Kermogant in the past too, those signings weren’t blamed on the managers.

Why the presumption I don’t like Rodgers? I am saying His recruitment isant the best and that includes at Liverpool and Swansea.yes he got in Fofana and Faes but also brought Vestergaard and Bertrand.

We have difference of opinions, I think he is not good in the transfer market you do so be it, however I neither like or dislike him. I do think he’s taken us as far as he can, but who we could replace him with isant an exciting option.

I don’t think he’s anything in the transfer market. Our recruitment since he has been here has not been as good as we need and he will have to take some responsibility, but it’s far from being entirely his fault. Players being on big contracts and won’t find moves elsewhere can’t be his fault as he doesn’t negotiate salary etc. I also doubt he watched all the games fofana, wout and soumare played in France or that he regularly watched Salzburg to sign daka. It’s just not his job.

I agree with that but he has the final say here. I agree out recruitment has been horrific on the whole since we won the league. With exception of a few players. He wasn’t here year after we won the league and the players brought in we’re substandard that season

He might have the final say, but that say might be to sign a player or sign nobody at all, and in that situation I’d always choose to have the option of another player. I also don’t think our recruitment has been horrific, most prem sides are inconsistent in their success, and in general I think we fare better than most sides. Although this hasn’t been the case in the last couple of years.

I think our recruitment can be split into 2 pots. Transfers made purely on a financial basis, and then players that we’ve extensively scouted and decided to spend cash on.

Bennet (Loan)

Lookman (Loan)

Under (Loan)

Bertrand (Free)

Are the players we’ve signed when we realise there’s a gap in our squad, but we can’t afford to put a lot of cash into it. These haven’t really worked out that well.

Justin

Castagne

Fofana

Soumare

Daka

Perez

Faes

Praet

These are the players we’ve clearly concentrated a lot of effort to scout and then pay some significant funds for. I’d say that at least half of these have been successes. Perez has been a decent player for us but we massively overpaid for him. Praet and Soumare seem to be flops and the jury is still out on Daka. I don’t think it’s a terrible record, and I think there’s plenty of clubs who would have preferred that business to what they’ve actually done.

I left vesty out because he was a panic buy after the fofana leg break and Tielemans because he was already here on loan.

I think horrific is a little strong we have sold two player we brought in 50m for 160m how may clubs of our size have done that.

I agree it been hit and miss but that the same for most clubs.

Any news on his injury?  He’s going to be hard to move on at the rate he keeps picking them up

Dont worry im sure Torino will still take him on loan where they pay 5 percent of his wages and an option to buy for 3 million euros that they will still refuse to pay

This lad rarely plays and when he does he gets injured.

Story of pretty much half our squad.

#Torino , pushes for #Praet (it would be the substitute for #Lukic ). The negotiation is not easy because there is little time left until the market closes (tomorrow at 20.00). The #Leicester has already bought the replacement of the Belgian. The #Toro could offer 5/6M+bonus in the next few hours.

All this time you thought Tete was brought in to solve our longstanding weakness at right wing, whereas in fact we targeted him to replace our routinely overlooked Belgian bit part midfielder.
