Rodgers, end of discussion. Even when the players get him ahead, he manages us into defeats. His treatment of certain players and comments in the media have also been awful and unprofessional. Doesn’t do anything to help us.

I'm confused about all this talk of "the board" tonight. Why are the board a separate option to Top? as far as I was aware top was the owner and Susan whelan the CEO. Who exactly are "the board"?

Yep thought the same. OP clearly has no idea how a business is run.

Top is an option as there are people of here who are beginning to turn on him and sell the club and the comments today haven't helped.

The board is an option as their is literally a topic called the board and they are responsible for day to day running as well as transfers in and out.

Really isn't that difficult

I don’t like blame, better to talk responsibility and therefore who is also responsible for sorting it out going forward. If an organisation is in a complete malaise and financially overstretched, no matter which bit of it is the biggest issue, the CEO has to own it, I.e the person that sets the strategy. In our case that’s the Chairman rather than the CEO.

The team has gone to cock

The finances have got out of control

Recruitment has gone downhill

The manager has lost the plot

The fitness and medical teams can’t keep players fit

Top’s responsibility, Top’s responsibility to sort it

We are living thru the most glorious period in our club’s long history, and someone actually thinks a poll on “who’s to blame the most” is worth airing.

Give yourself a good talking to.

Brendan all the way

Top has had a mare with his KP Empire during covid and has had loads to deal with.

Brendan just had to manage a very talented squad and is paid handsomely.

As an elite (cough) manager , he's made a right pigs ear of everything from recruitment, game management and morale of the squad.

Get him out and let's get our Leicester back

I mean there’s loads of reasons, it’s got to be a bit of everyone. If Soyuncu kept his cool against Bournemouth we might well not be in this situation now. If we’d not signed half of the defence we put 9 past, on obscene wages, I’m sure things would be better. If Wes wasn’t an unprofessional little shit I think we’d be healthier. Brendan’s done a lot of good in his time here, but he is also very much about preserving his reputation at all costs and that certainly isn’t helping now - but I think there are more fundamental issues around recruitment and the wage structure that are more to blame for creating the situation that he’s handling badly. It’s everyone though, you can’t pin this on one person or group of people, the board are responsible for the manager, the manager, coaching and recruitment staff are responsible for the players and the players have to care and be good enough for any of it to work. This isn’t a problem that only exists in one area, we’ve got a lot of work to do to recover and get back to the level we were at 2/3 years ago - and the structure of the Premier League and English football is such that the chances of us every getting back there are pretty slim. Still we won the League and the Cup ^_^

History changes quickly

Certainly not in a glorious period now.

The board.

They should have pulled the trigger by now.

It’s Rodger’s job to state the players he wants, it’s the job of the board to decide if those players are right, to get them at the right price, and to negotiate a reasonable contract.

They must realise we need hungry players, therefore purchasing new players and moving old players on is vital, you can’t stand still in this league.

we are not standing still, we’ve gone backwards. Top isn’t to blame because I’m not sure how capable he is at running a football club.

Obviously Rodgers the most but it's a multitude of factors. Clearly the manager it to blame for team selection, tactics, formation and on field performance. The recruitment team( plus whoever else has a say on transfers)  has made a number of mistakes. While Top comes in for some criticism for maybe not acting decisively enough.  Board members maybe not advising Top correctly.

The fans that were doe eyed for Rodgers when he was clearly taking us on a downward spiral. If you'd have all been a little more aware we could have had a nice toxic atmosphere and had him removed much earlier :D
