Matt Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Thing is whenever Rodgers needs a result he always manages to shithouse one. I mean I love a shithouse win, there is nothing better. But when Rodgers is on the ropes, under pressure, under scrutiny and needs something he'll manage to come out playing an effecting, exciting game, low and behold we get a decent result, then it goes back to months of ponderous, boring, sideways football. This time does feel different though, Rodgers is rattled and reeling, not stopping that bus for anyone in his way. 1

Played enough for a point v Man U, Brentford and Southampton realistically should gained 4 points from those two. We aren't getting battered and some luck / determination will see us ok

We almost beat Brentford first game of the season but we tanked second half. Imagine how different our season would be if we won that first game? Stop trolling 😂😂
An Sionnach Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 If Dunk gets sent off , then maybe. We have the players but they are missing in action. However much, much stranger things happen in football.

Jattdogg Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 I hope we win. Manager situation aside we need the 3 points. 2

Vazman Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Come on everyone, deep down we all know we have got this, it's part of BR's master plan, and tactics, lure everyone, and I mean everyone into a false sense of security, that we are easy to beat, lack any motivation or desire to win, (Which he has succeeded in by the way), bed ourselves at the foot of the table for the first 5 games of the season, then bam, transfer window closes, and we rocket ahead, Brighton Nil, Leicester 4, we go on a 16 game unbeaten run, followed by a few draws lose a couple that we should win, and finish 2nd in the Prem behind Man City! You heard it here First 😂 1

I think if the Man Utd game was a weekend one he'd have probably gone. This feels more like Puel/Palace vibes to me. 1

foxsake Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Please let it be tomorrow! And I ain't talking about a win..

Hammo Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Blind baseless optimism never did anyone any good. Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City in the Premier League in 2022: 1) When we score, we defend badly and concede. 2) When our opponents score, we attack badly and don’t get an equaliser. It’s the classic recipe for disaster that gets a team relegated. And Rodgers keeps serving it up. Why will it be any different tomorrow? 1 1

nnfox Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 I think we'll win the next two games and be clear of the relegation zone.* * I have been known to be wrong before, but I am actually being semi-serious.
Angus Scott Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 We won't win, Brendan will make sure of that. He's trying to force our hand & sack him as he wants out but wants the pay off. Although we won't want to do this, we'll have no choice as if we don't then we are down. I'm told the atmosphere around the club is absolutely toxic at the moment 1
WinslowFox Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Only way we truly win tomorrow is if we lose to Brighton and Brenton gets sacked 1

They hardly got out of second gear and apart from Justin’s chance at the end we barely laid a glove on them.

Chrysalis Posted 3 September 2022 Posted 3 September 2022 Rodgers will still win the occasional game, i worry though that when he does it causes a reset for the board and they give him an extra 3 months every time he wins. 1
