Because Brendan has kept them sweet. One thing he is exceptional at. He's created this narrative around himself and the club over a number of years and dishes out plenty of interviews so it's no surprise. The decent pundits would look at the calibre of player and realise that he's doing an abysmal job and the good work he has done is not mutually exclusive to that.

Maybe so. It's like sometimes if there's 2 of them in the studio and one has been slightly critical, the other one will say "he's great though, I really like him" and then it's gone back the other guy to say "yes, I agree, he's great" I've seen this happen a few times.

Maybe it's a case of getting interviews or knowing if they *** him off he'll just oust them.

Basically everything NP was bad at but I loved him for as he truly loved the club and his players.

After the absolute ****  showing today I noticed the majority of pundits /presenters are still going out of their way to back Brendan.

The majority of them will say something like "it's not going well for him, but I must add I think he's an excellent coach and I really like him" no joke, maybe 5/6 of the people I've seen speaking about him have said this!

Is there something I'm missing? Why are they all so hell bent on protecting him and not doing a tiny bit of digging to see him for what he truly is?

Are the bigger forces at play and if so, why this agenda from the media?

Hes in there with the main pundits. More then likely plays golf with alot of them

They must be awesome at golf then, because Rodgers is above average at it, and I doubt they'd back him so much if he was beating them all the time 🙈

Let then think whatever they want, it’s apparent half of them couldn’t tell their arsehole from their elbow. The truth is he’s taking us down, they can think what they want but we need to look after Number 1!

It all comes down to cliches and lazy opinions. Nothing more to it than that.

Most pundits don’t like going against the grain so they can keep riding the gravy train.

They are also not emotionally invested fans, objectively Rodgers is a successful Leicester manager. 5th, 5th, 8th, FA Cup, European runs.

What's changed since last season? A disastrous transfer window where the board didn't back Rodgers. In that respect our situation isn't Rodgers fault.

The difference is they haven't suffered some of the dross of last season, the awful defending of set pieces and conceding last minute goals and the fact that hasn't changed for 18 months which is down to the manager. They've not been scratching their heads at the bizarre selections every game. I have no idea what Soyuncu has done to piss off Rodgers, but if you are going to play Ndidi ahead of him weakening both our defence and midfield there is literally no point him, or Vestegard being near the squad. Pay them off and put a youth player on the bench.

I've given Brodge the benefit of the doubt until today, whether it is his fault or not we need a change and replacing him is the only change we have left.

I don't even think it's protection, he has done a good job here there's no denying that. I think it just becomes a case where youre from the outside looking in, see the heights we once hit under this regime and thinking it's possible he can reach it again with this club. Whereas we watch it week in week out and know that the sell by date has far expired

they all ripped into him when his son was charged with those ALLEGED crimes in 2016 and was subsequently cleared of sexual assault and so they probably feel obligated  to report  on him favorably now..

Was similar with Claudio at the time. From the outside, it seemed like we were shooting a Grandpa, but for those who saw us play week in week out, it was obvious that it was time for a change.

I have noticed a few pundits begin to switch though. Bare in mind, this is a manager who had x2 5th place finishes, an FA Cup and Charity shield in 3 full seasons.

I get it, but they are just wrong.

He's kept them sweet that's why. And when we do sack him there will be uproar.

Probably a worse uproar than the one we got when King Claudio was sacked I bet. No doubt people will say we deserve to go down if Rodgers gets the boot.

I think the backlash we got from Ranieri was justified even if it was the right decision to make. Rodgers is and always will be a top level managed, but he's a manager who will make the most out of what youve built rather than create something himself so I can understand why he's supported by the media in that regard.

Their job is to find things to write a story about.

Brendan helpfully supplies them with a story. Every single time.

Who cares if it’s true? It’s only Leicester nobody cares, and the journo can play golf or write about Man U with the time saved!

Because last time the majority of “pundits” watched a full 90 minutes of us play was the FA cup final.
