Leicester to reveal estimated annual losses of £119.5MILLION - the highest in the Premier League

This is the daily Mail so it’ll not provide the detail as it ruins the click bait impact of the headline. I suspect the reason for the higher losses on top of the inevitable Covid losses will be most likely related to the training ground investment.

Would never come to that. They have so much credit in the bank.

It's already starting to come to that.  Have you not read some of the responses in this thread?

Do kids consider how much credit mom and dad have in the bank before they throw their toys out the pram?

We know why LCFC is in financial trouble.

    - recent mismanagement of transfers and the payroll, at about the same time as:

    - Rodgers passing his expiration date

    - COVID losses

    - a bad break or two (e.g. Fofana's injury just before last season).

No, it's not fun to be in the shit, and yes, a lot of it attaches to the board.  Immediate changes are needed.  But I personally would rather give Top the chance to this situation, rather than assume a change in ownership is the answer.  8 out of 10 new EFL and PL owners turn out to be incompetent, chancers, and/or leeches.  KP have been none of those things!

Unless some see an oil state's public treasury coming in to rescue us, and think that would be a good thing?

And the perfect way to asset strip us was buy £60m worth of new players.

Well, when you look at who we bought... lol

It looks more and more like we've had our few years in the big league

And just as clubs such as Stoke have done

We are in the process of returning to mediocrity

It was a great ride while it lasted and I wouldn't have missed it for the world! :scarf::appl:

Accounts are normally posted in March aren't they? Why now?

It’s just an analysis by outsiders, not the actual numbers

Despite the fact that 3 times in the last 4 months - including just 4 days ago - he has said King Power are fully committed to his father's legacy and keeping the club running as a sound business. Enough of the baseless doom already.

Words are easy. Actions are proof of commitment. KP are financially in trouble. Do you think they'd let their duty free empire sink in favour of us?

Do they have enough to take us down though?  They will sell as soon as that happens. Loyalty runs both ways

Actions like not spending money in the window to help balance the books?

The very fact they're pushing on with the redevelopment rather than cancelling it is another 100m investment in the area.

It's not a case of a duty free empire sinking before the club, it's not an either/or situation. We're not their only business interest they have other commitments in other countries too.

Another reason why the jury’s out as to whether just sacking Rodgers will be ‘the answer’. Some posters are claiming exactly that. That if Rodgers goes, we’ll end up in mid table security.

There’s a lot more to this than just Rodgers. The club is skint. And it’s been run pretty badly now for some time.
If we are bottom still come the next transfer window, or near to bottom, we won’t have a lot of money to go out and buy a player or two to make a big difference.

The real problem imo is that we have a squad we can’t sell. Whilst people on here have been making a cult hero out of Amartey, have they not realised that he’s on relatively big wages and that no-one wants him. Same for Perez, Vestergaard and umpteen others.

We are in a mess

FFS do you never get bored of stating your view on Amartey in every single thread??

Proof of commitment like loaning the club loads of money as they have done the last two years.

Since been in place, the players have deteriorated both physically and mentally

Explain that.

Explain how a top class training facility - described by several ex-pros and managers as the best in Europe - detracts from a players physicality.

That literally makes no sense.

It was sarcastic lol sorry… I was basically saying they are too comfy in the new place and aren’t putting in the work

That's a decent response which I accept is probably better than mine. Time will tell how they manage their other commitments.

A loan... A LOAN. Loans have to be repaid.

And now look where we are. Skint.

It's easy to throw riches around in times of bountifulness.

We are owned by a multi-billionaire family, they have more than enough to give the club a little cash injection like Spurs did after building their new stadium. If they're not willing to do that, then it may be in their best interest to try and sell us whilst we're still a Premier League club. Clearly the club needs investment from somewhere that isn't a loan.
