There are three questions that need to be answered: will we play another game before Forest, how many managerial openings there end up being and if one of those clubs want him as a result of the Tuchel domino falling, and can we afford the £10M to sack him?

If we don't play until Forest and can afford the sack might as well do it as soon as possible. It's going to be like having an entire pre-season without the transfer window drama. If someone wants him let them take him. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a cost the club doesn't want to ensue right now.

Results heal all wounds. I would want to be comfortably midtable by the World Cup break after 14/16 games.

As pathetic as it is for Brendan to blame us, the fans, for Ward being a bombscare when passed to it's not blasphemy. We're not above reproach. We're a bunch of savages calling for his head. He's been sung you're getting sacked in the morning at since Stockport. If you can't take it don't dish it out.

He blamed the fans for Ward being crap?

You care to elaborate?  Maybe include a source?

Or are we now at the stage of throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks?

The players came out of the tunnel for the second half and they all looked a mixture of livid, pissed off, and uninspired.

Couldn't really care about his personality or what he says, I don't want to be he's mate or have a beer with him.

If he wins football matches and plays attacking football, yes.

I don't really care about the cult of personality, I just want to win matches and be entertained.

Ahh, the cult of entertainment, very gladiatorial. 🤣

He showed his true colours over the past few months and insulted the players the owners and our own intelligence. No coming back from that. Even if we now put a couple of wins together we will still be waiting for his next tactical cock up for bizarre substitutions. He's crossed the Rubicon and there is only one way this is turning out. :revenge:

His goose is cooked, he's stewed in own juice for too long. For all his waffle about character, time to show some himself and fook off.

Unrelated but I'm starving hungry rn

Some fickle sods on here saying yes aren’t there

The same people no doubt who accused those wanting him gone a year ago as being fickle. The difference being those of us in that group haven’t changed their minds at all

If we start winning games then of course he'll win me over, there's nothing funny in that.

I still respect Rodgers for what he's won here, I'm never changing that, but do I think he needs to go currently? Yes. Does that mean he can't make me change that opinion? No.

Every football fan in the World is fickle. If you don't understand that then what's the point posting on here.

Him, no. The press conference yesterday reinforced for me that there's not an ounce of contrition in him. He set out to defend himself from the word go. He might have well as responded 'get over it' to everything. So, as a human being, I don't think I could ever warm to him.

As a football manager however (which is, in all honesty, the only thing that concerns me) IF he turns results around then it'd be a start, and if I started seeing performances that pleased me then I could forget all about not liking him.

I'm not optimistic about him being able to turn it around though. I fear the very qualities I dislike do not create a positive energy and environment for the squad, and that in turn affects performances.

And him winning games will mask over his absolutely horrendous personality and man management skills, to say nothing of his horrendous football?

This runs much deeper than just losing a few games THIS season.

He didn’t look like he was bothered at the presser yesterday

bourne’s question about getting the most out of the players was met with ‘I try my best’ ….. I mean …. Is that a serious answer ??

It looks like it’s gone beyond the point of no return

It depends. We could revert back to the start of 19-20, among the best football I've ever seen us play. Will it happen? No. Can it happen? Of course.

I'm not bothered about his personality. I turn up to games in the hope we're gonna win. Pearson is my favourite City manager of all time and some of his comments were strange. I didn't really care though.

He had some good questions put to him in that presser and still half-answered most of them with sound bytes, so no signs of him having a genuine connection to the fans anytime soon. If he starts winning game'S' right now, he gets more time. As a person I just can't get behind him, he loves himself, he loves himself as a manager, he loves saying manager things, he loves taking credit for success. Teflon Rodgers!

If I witness another Brighton Performance, then that´s it for me.  That last Sunday was unforgivable. Rogers and the Team owe the fans something very special, very soon.

If we start consistently wining games in time time to not get relegated, possibly. Is that about to happen? Doubt it. Would he be the man to take us forwards even if we survive? Not in my opinion.
