So our owners haven't even set him or the team a target for this season....

They definitely will have - and I doubt it was the 40 points Rodgers said

“Last year we finished eighth, and last year we had players with injuries and were hit by coronavirus,” Top said. “We hope that this year we won't get hurt again. We have made changes to the medical team to develop the potential of the players to be fit and ready to compete. If we have 100 per cent of our players, I hope to finish higher than last year.”

I mean, Top clearly has blind faith.

I just want us to lose to spite Rodgers this point. I want him finished.

Which is just a plain weird attitude.

Firstly, it won’t finish him at all, he’ll get another PL job after here no problem regardless, even if we finish bottom with him.

Secondly, hoping we go down so it will end the manager’s career? That’s just obviously warped and bitter beyond belief. Why would it really matter to you that much? The club is far more important than any individual player, manager or chairman.

The guy's a right slime ball. Unfortunately, youre right. failure is rewarded in management. Steve Bruce is testament to that. He'll get another gig.

Most dislakeable Leicester player or manager since Dennis Wise. Cant wait to see the back of him and his chapped lips.

Im gonna be cheering every Palace goal tomorrow

If Amartey comes in for Evans, I honestly give up. We deserve to go down

To be fair though, a Soyuncu and Faes pairing could be nuclear grade devastation. I'm intrigued though I must say.

Would answer quite a few ills of society either via nuclear destruction or laughter from the rest of planet earth watching

Again, why though? It’s quite clear a defeat to Palace isn’t getting him sacked. People have been saying this every game since about February. If you felt that way a few months ago fine but its just a pointless postering attitude at this point.

This would either be total football trascended or Sunday League horror show. No inbetween.

What we need is a good pumping tomorrow. A nice 4  1 defeat should hopefully see the back of him. Then we can hopefully get our season going.

Come on you eagles. 😆

What we definitely know is any form of a result and the pressure seems to ease on him and buys him far more games than another defeat. It's a horrendous situation to be in, for us to stoop so low and for so long thst they are forced to act but it be still possible for a new manager to come in and save us this season.

If 3 defeats on the spin and being on 4 points with nearly a 3rd of the season gone and 7 points adrift of the pack is the threshold then I'd take that right now rather than him scab another win and a couple of defeats and he gets another few games as we breach any opportunity of survival. I don't like the World Cup break either for our situation, I think we needed a new man in way before that and it scares the hell out of me the apathy that will grow and grow during that break for many.

The main attribute Cags would bring to a pairing with Waot compared to jonny is a bit more pace and youthful exuberance. We would lose a bit in communication and togetherness at the back. We have seen over the years that Evans seems to bring out the best in his fellow defenders. Jonny has great experience obviously and his anticipation and concentration is still admirable. He also still shows great aggression and is still strong in the air.

We are all intrigued to see how this pairing works out. Jonny is sadly going to continue picking up injuries and can’t go on forever. How good Wout and Soyuncu turns out to be depends on whether Cags plays like the player who initially burst into the team and on how well the chemistry works between them. Sadly we are are much more likely to see how Waot gets on with big Dan if Evans is out or a continuation of the current pairing until Jonny can’t walk or Waot has a bad hair day.

So weird.

Weirder than backing a man that's trying to send us back to the dark ages?

I want what's best for my club. Seeing as we have an absolute set of clowns above the main man himself, it clearly needs to be made very obvious how poor he is.

Go, clap and cheer and sing and pretend everything is fine. At least it'll be cheaper next season.

Yes we all want to win every game, we wont of course, but at the minute many forecast us losing, before kicking a ball, to say he wont go if this continues is negligible by the owner, and wont happen, what's the point in attendance, fans, dreams, etc, if we are just turning up to get beaten every week, under a manager who many see as the route cause.

It doesn’t matter if we wish for a win it isn’t happening under this manager. It’s the players that will pull something out of the bag if we do win, this manager is sheer incompetence. Get him gone Top asap.

Like the running joke throughout the original Star Wars  "I have a bad feeling about this".   I can't see us getting anything from this game, although I hope I'm wrong, but I just see Palace bullying us.

Said numerous times before I’ll say it again we wrote the season off before it even started.

Every day that passes, every comment made via the club or the clubs employees confirm that just a little bit more.

And I don’t care if “it’s getting boring” in reply to my comments, it got boring a long, long time before I started making comments.

My Ward shirt just arrived. I'll stand out in the crowd I reckon.

Be careful mate, I wore my 1993/94 purple keeper shirt with (Gavin) Ward 1 on the back and got egged.
