...Palace are a team that seems very inconsistent, they have spells of very good play but a soft underbelly, a lot like us!!!

  They have had leads which evaporate and I no doubt expect them to start off strong, but I feel they are just the team we want to come up against,  they throw points away like confetti.

That fact Palace haven't ever beaten us under Rodgers or according to a Palace fan on here ever beaten a Rodgers side, to me doesn't give me any comfort but more am more convinced its bound to happen sooner or later and this is surely the time.

I know what you mean but I have had to accept that I am now in a position where I want BR gone at all costs and so a win against Palace is both good and bad. 

 

I want him gone and I can't enjoy it down there until he's not in the dugout 

 

 

Plus, Coalville play way more entertaining football

Agreed. I do think we have to utilise the formation (s)that works best then pick/find the players that work and be willing to make some tough decisions. If 6 of our best players are midfielders but we only need four for a formation then bench two rather than trying to shoehorn them in. Definitely give Iversen a go and be prepared to give Cags and Perez some game time if available. If a player clearly isn’t in form then others should be given a chance or it sends the wrong message and doesn’t help the team. Stop making overtly negative negative subs late on that just invite the opposition to play in our half and put pressure on ourselves. Destroys the confidence that gets us in the winning position in the first place.

Can see us going win-loss-win-loss etc up to world cup games and as you say, clinging on and maybe even getting another window

...I  have 2 theories..!!!

1. The club have set a target of 10 points from the first 10 games. A point a game will keep us up so it is a reasonable barometer. Having lost to Bournemouth, the decision has already been made and we are allowing him the 10th game.

 

2. Khun Top will not sack him but give him the opportunity to "Refresh" the squad next season, when a lot of contracts will expire, so we have him for the rest of the season, or until Rodgers gets a better offer and chooses to leave.

  Let's hope the former is the right one, it is hard to take much more of this.
