Soy Boy captain of Turkey but Rodgers won’t play him. Says it all really. Personality more important than the team or the club. Although tbf fair, Soy might be turning up to training every day wearing a t-shirt with Rodgers is a *unt on it. So, you know, we don’t have the whole picture.

This would either be total football trascended or Sunday League horror show. No inbetween.

Either way, we need to see it. Either for a win which we desperately need, or if that ain't possible, just for shits and giggles which will do us all the world of good.

If we lose at the weekend  - surely, surely, surely his number is up. If he'd followed up Forest with a win at Bournemouth the mood would be resoundingly more positive and the players would have their tails up a bit. But no, we throw away a lead with the same ugly defensive issues rearing up.

I can't see us winning this. The likes of Eze, Zaha, Olise, Mateta, Edouard will run riot against our defence. Their movement will pull us out of position and we'll struggle to contain the quick breaks. Evans looks to be out, which leaves us with the frightening prospect of Faes and Amartey starting. We'll probably score one or two as we always do but it probably won't be enough.

Really not looking forward to it - same bland football and toxic atmosphere inbound. We are a club who are desperately, desperately in need of a change of manager and some fresh ideas.

To be fair though, a Soyuncu and Faes pairing could be nuclear grade devastation. I'm intrigued though I must say.

Tbh, I reckon if Evans is out, it's worth a punt. Both are similar style players (though Cags perhaps more rash), they're quick and solid in the challenge (as a rule). Maybe play someone (Amartey or Ndidi, or even Veste) between them with a more conservative and stable brief... dunno, could be a horror show but it's not like we're blessed with decent options, for one reason or another

Edit: I know Ndidi's probably out too, it was more of a think piece

This mentality is getting a bit out of date now. Fans are entitled to feel disillusioned at what is happening at this club at the moment. We’ve got a shit bag of a manager who is destroying us from the inside out, and a board that are taking loyalty far too seriously, to the point where it will ruin us.

No fan would hates the club, we hate what’s happening at the club. If a shafting from Palace that finally makes the board see sense and Brendan gos then it maybe a good thing. There’s still time to turn this around, but the longer Brendan remains clinging on like a dingleberry, the more chance we have of getting relegated.

This is the first time in my life that I genuinely don’t care, I’m not going to the palace game, not because I’m a “plastic” because it would be another weekend away from the family watching us get shat on, and I’d rather not go and let my seat sit empty that go and watch us get beaten, again when I could be doing something more worth while.

Something has got to give, and sometimes as  a fan base you can twist the arm of those who matter. Standing there clapping and shouting “good effort lads” after another defeat is plain counter productive. I’m not saying booing is, but at the moment you really can’t blame fans.

It’s acceptable if you’re genuinely struggling, I.E you don’t have the finances or the players to cope, however this simply isn’t the case with us…. This entire issue has been engineered by Rodgers, his handling of the squad and his not lack of motivation to do the job. This is what is unacceptable, and I’d rather show my disgust at this. Our football club is being ruined, and is going to get relegated, which will be a monumental disaster, potentially with irreversible damage.

Mad that it even needs explaining tbh. Just the usual suspects thinking they’re better fans than the rest of us.

past playing fit players? past Ndidi being part of the team or not bothered until Rodgers is sacked?

Past everything, and also of the opinion that ndidi fit or not makes little difference unless he hits form, wouldn't mind seeing mendy given a go, soumare seems OK ish, ndidi definitely ain't himself. Just either way.

Not excited, not bothered if we don't win, got used to it, no Real hope that a loss will get him the sack, and scared of winning that it gives him more time.

Meh! But with scary connotations either way, which I have no trust in whichever way it goes.

Ikr! It's getting beyond ridiculous. Like anyone could think themselves a better fan than someone who says 'I honestly hope we lose.'

(In all honesty I hate the whole idea of anyone being a 'better' or 'worse' fan than anyone else, and I don't get to (or want to) police how you support the club any more than you get to for me. We all know what the club means to us, and we don't have to justify it to anyone.

That said, you can't say 'I hope we lose' and not expect some raised eyebrows!)

Not sure if it's true but I've heard they have cancelled all birthday messages tomorrow as people were asking for Zac Rodgers and Brendan Nout :D

They'll get their happy birthday song chanted nonetheless. Shame to let someone's birthday go uncelebrated.

Apparently not allowed to stand up so that's out the window

Well, if we do a 'sit down if you hate Rodgers', then the owner willl think every fan is participating in it.

Iversen

Castagne Evans Faes Brunt

Mendy Ndidi

Maddison KDH Barnes

Daka

Ooh  that line up's not for me I'm afraid.

Brunt ‐ not ready

Ndidi - Injury (few weeks away) but even if fit having  Mendy beside him is way, way to defensive and they will hinder each other

Maddison will drift in leaving a big hole with no teammates on the pitch to fill it

Daka  on his own will never work and unfortunately the team behind him would lack the creative spark needed for him to be affective.

I've never been a fan of one up top anyway.
