How can we help Top come to his senses?

I figure we should try to help the guy.

 

Let's summarise the things that should have helped him understand but thus far have not:

 

• Losing matches
• Losing matches spectacularly
• Losing matches to a greater degree than previously sacked managers
• Watching us play football
• Emails to the board in a reasoned tone
• Emails to the board in an aggressive tone
• Emails to the board in a desperate and pleading tone
• Four telephone books worth of internet posts on the subject
• Our xG and other stats
• Quiet prayer
• Open letters

 

So far he's not got the message. I'm assuming if he starts to realise that he's pretty much the only person who wants him he may start to question his undivided loyalty to Brendan.

 

How can we then help Top understand that perhaps we don't necessarily want Brendan Rodgers to manage us?

 

• Boos?
• Hisses?
• Chants?
• Tiny placards as fintely demonstrated by this lady?
• Banners flying above the stadium?
• [Your thoughts here]

Not being at the stadium mean we aren’t supporting the players - and they need our support. 
 

if you’re hell bent on making a statement then perhaps one whole block doesn’t arrive until 5 minutes into the game - otherwise you have a safety issue if it’s more than that number all coming in together.  I mean you couldn’t have 20k people all trying to access their seats at the same time ! 

 

maybe a large number could stay in the concourses for the first five minutes after half time ??? 
 

but with the game ongoing, that is potentially a big problem when they all come in

The players are being paid a lot of money to play - they can survive a few matches of fans making a statement by not showing up.  Empty seats are the best way to send a message, but let’s be honest - he’s a billionaire who was born into everything he has - he lives in a bubble and probably has no awareness of such things.

I understand the sentiment, we have to do something, could we not just go the women's and u21s instead?

Our problem is Brendon let's support everything except stuff he's involved with. 

It's not even a protest we just want to watch a Leicester team, playing as a team. Before you all start I know we've lost the first 3 games, that's not important its not the losing is it, its the manner in which Brandon's been losing these matches that hurts. The women are at least trying.

I think the most obvious one is chanting and banners. 

 

Support the team during the 90 minutes but after the match stay behind for 10-15 minutes and make your feelings clear. 

As the stadium is almost empty if their is 500-1000 fans all chanting Rodgers out for 15 minutes straight i would like to think that they really can't ignore that. 

 

If we lose to Palace then you could well have a few thousand stay behind to make their voices heard.

But that is why the madness of BR in charge continues.  You keep turning up and the same shit happens.  It is an apathetic response to the massive decline in standards.  Any other profession as a manager and he would have been out the door months ago.  In fact at nearly every other club too.

 

At least if you are at the stadium, the atmosphere needs to be toxic.  it is the only way the message will come across.

The point is that the club expect there to be a fair percentage who are opposed to the coach. at the moment they would think that is perhaps 50/50. 
 

the supporters need to show that it’s more. A protest before or after the game outside the ground won’t show that because many who want him out won’t bother. Perhaps the least difficult way to show opposition is to stand for the first five minutes of the game. Maybe that could be a way forward.  It’s not difficult and it would illustrate the strength of feeling to the board.   No singing , no rudeness - just a silent marked protest. 
 

(Unless rudders add Susan also stand up which would be tricky)

Not turning up isn't the best route, as it would take a large portion of the fanbase to stick to it for it to be noticeable. A lot of those walkouts or boycotts don't work out as planned.

 

We also need to clearly define that this is about the manager, not the players. The only way I can see us getting that across is banners and chants that clearly references the manager, such as "You don't know what you're doing" and "We want Rodgers out". It's ok to sing those things during the game as long as we are also supporting the team at the same time.

 

...or, let's all buy little notebooks and chuck them on the pitch.

If the players are still with the coach then chanting ‘rodgers out’ won’t help their performance 

 

I would stand for the first five minutes but the guy sitting behind is bigger than me !

A silent protest with everybody holding up a blank sheet of paper. 

It shouldn't upset the players who will soon get the message. Despite everything that has been going on quite a few of them have been making a real effort and they must be getting extremely frustrated.

I am pretty sure it has not been done at a football match before and if thousands of people did it the media would pick it up like crazy.

Followed by a silent protest outside the ground after the match.
