Mate, you've just admitted you're not a supporter of the team. I know you think you can justify it, but that sort of attendee at matches really pisses me (and I'm sure many others) off - your righteous indignation at one man outweighs your desire for the team you claim to support to win.

I'm no better than you for my stance, but I really detest the supposed principled position of wanting BR out, whatever the cost.

It's a huge stretch to say filterway isn't a Leicester supporter. The reasons for wanting Rodgers out relates to his enjoyment of seeing us play. It seems rather unsettling to see or his posts and emotions on this forum and then see people claim he doesn't support the team.

"Yet I'd happily see loss after loss to spite Rodgers and hopefully have him removed, if only so I could start genuinely feeling emotion for games again"

We do seem to have become tighter at the back, albeit we haven't really been tested by anyone with any quality.

Man City's fire power is ridiculous and so long as we don't get absolutely embarrassed,  I'm giving Rodgers and the team a free pass on this one so long as we get something against West Ham & Everton.

You've hit the nail on the head with me to be fair mate lol

That's literally where I'm at. My disgust and dislike of Rodgers eclipses my love of Leicester, it must do for me to be so apathetic.

I really admire your honesty bud, however people can change and learn, I'm in the Rodgers out camp but l am prepared to forgive and forget IF he can turn it around and entertain.

Honestly you have to say City first every time, he WILL go eventually so don't let your dislike of him colour your support of our team, we need it atm.

Sometimes you just have to trust that the ones in the know might just be right.

I know I'm in a minority and never really been in this position before, as I've never seen a manager be allowed to under perform for so long and get away with.

I love the club, still watch every game. Can name far too many members of the academy and staff. I'll be following the club and be far too invested until I lose my marbles. However I can't turn my emotions on and fake that I care about results at the minute. It's a chemical reaction and I have no control over it lol

Complete apathy is the best way I can describe. And yet I still want to watch games. My best guess is that I'm simply wanting to be proven right (although 7 losses on the bounce probably did that) We're living in some weird land of no accountability atm and i'm in footballing purgatory when it comes to Leicester lol

Luckily my main team I watch and have following for near on 15 years, Coalville, still provide me the usual ups and downs of footie and the enjoyment that comes with that.

Anyway I hope you both enjoy the game tomorrow chaps. I'll be watching in a pub in Derby, maybe that'll knock a bit of emotion into me. It's alright for me to slate my club, but I'll be damned if a Derby fan does :D

Man City will need a real off day. We have improved in certain areas. But the recent opposition have been bang average.

Hmm, wouldn’t Bang Average be sort of midtable?

the teams we have beaten have been utter dross, far less than average.

However, all that being said, I could see us pulling off some kind of weird miracle against these. It has happened, it could again.

Well, you're a decent enough guy to repond this way, which I appreciate.

On accountability.... they're not answerable to you, to me, to any of us. We're all guessing as to the whys and wherefores. I think if you were railing against the increasingly bewildering moneyball rather than an individual I'd understand a lot better. You care a lot more than I do, that's the irony , and it's clear you do, I just have a distaste for this cut-off-nose-to-spite-the-face manner that so many seem to wear like a badge of honour. I watch little of us now, for a variety of reasons, but I support the team, whoever the manager is, and without promoting my agenda (if I have one) above that, if I get the chance to watch or attend. I am in Malta so am very unlikely to indulge tomorrow because I don't want my warm holiday interrupted by football, and often dislike attending now because there's always a chance you have to listen to some (normally) bloke of my age or more indulgently and indignantly voicing a desire to want 'their' club back, which is so weirdly and inaccurately proprietorial as to make me shake my head.

Last point - I do however realise that a lot of older, trad supporters felt they were close to the club, and feel made to be less so now. Whether or not that is the case or was an illusion all along is a moot point (and of course I have an opinion on that, not needed at this juncture). I just think some people (maybe you, maybe not) care more for the importance their opinion than the outcome of matchday.

Genuinely interested to hear your reasons, if you wouldn’t mind sharing of course.

Happily. I got tired of allowing my mood to be dictated by outcomes beyond my control. It coincided with finding some improved self-esteem quite late in life (I'm 52) and some genuine happiness that wasn't predicated on the outcome of a sporting event that felt/feels increasingly managed & orchestrated by people with way too much money and less-than-philanthropic power. I also saw & see the strange effect football has on friends and strangers alike, and in much the same way that I avoid the filthy press and the TV, felt I wanted to learn to be detached from that.

Thus, I was able to attend the tedious 0-0 draw at Stockport and observe it as well as participate in it, but then just let it go after. Some might call me something uncomplimentary for being able to do that, and that's their right to do so, but I would in return always sympathise with the committed fan that shows emotion/ passion/pashun for the team, even if I can no longer do that to myself.

I hope this goes some way to answering you.

Got mine a few weeks ago Davie. Great to get from the royal legion and make sure the money goes to the right place.

Castagne is in for a hell of a game

If they go the same as vs Brighton it will basically be him up against Mahrez with De Bruyne joining in...

Or if Castagne ever goes past our half way line it will be Tielemans vs those 2...

...am I getting this wrong, Tielemans and Castagne are on our right and Mahrez and KDB would be looking for overloads on their Right!!!

Oops wrong way around

So it will be Castagne having to deal with Grealish but also the over/under lapping Cancelo

But anytime Castagne pushes forward, it would be Tielemans who drops into the right back position to cover for him so would then be him against those 2

But also yes JJ will also have to deal with Mahrez and KDB

Ederson has a worse shot to save ratio than Ward I believe. So I guess its going to be a story of two attacks presuming we don’t sit back and park the bus; which we all know won’t work.
