Players who reached the final may not be available but the final is on the 18th Dec and the 4th round games are on 20/21 Dec so not quite right from Ric, unless the info I'm reading is wrong :D

I reckon any players who make the QFs but bow out will be given until the week of Xmas off before they rejoin their clubs

He is a DM Ric.

He's a deep lying central midfielder, if there were stats at that level to show his progressive stats I'd expect to see them more comparable with Tielemans than say Ndidi.

Tielemans operates and screens the defence as well but isn't a pure destroyer like a lot of people think of a DCM.

Braybrooke won't ever be an ACM but Tielemans doesn't operate in that role any longer as his lack of pace has led to him changing his game.

He has 2 assists all season in 10 u21 games. That's not his strength.  His strength is reading the game and breaking the bits up.

2 assists in 2 games in the Papa Johns Trophy against Senior sides

Both of which were perfectly weighted passes through the defence to put the striker through 1v1 to score

From watching him regularly for us and also for England I know myself that his strength lies in dictating the play including his ability to make brilliant passes.

He is still good at reading the game and breaking up play, BUT he is also very good at running a game.

Loads of all Premier League ties in this round - including Chelsea vs Man City - so our draw at home to League 2 opposition is a gift we need to capitalise on. Another win to keep building momentum will do us no harm at all too. I'd rest a few players from the starting 11, but I'd certainly have them all on the bench just in case.

I'd like to see:

Iversen

Amartey Evans Soyuncu Thomas

Praet  Ndidi

Albrighton Iheanacho Perez

Vardy

I'd be open to seeing a couple youth players in their but no reason this can't and shouldn't be a full 11 of first team players. I'd be equally unsurprised if he opted to not rest Faes and Tielemans.

Leave Vestergaard out altogether again to make it clear he has no future here and needs to move on in January.

My whole point was it's unfair to expect an 18 year old kid to come in next season and take Tielemans place.

I stand by my statement his position is a DM his job is to break up play and set the moves off not the playmaker like you suggest.

He reads the game do well it gives him more time on the ball.

Ha ha and yes. Ive certainly watched enough if him to know what im talking about.

I just think you are doing him a disservice if you think that is all he does or should be doing - he has so much more to him than that which he regularly shows

I have to say we just probably aren’t going to agree on this then

How many tickets have we sold for this. Support may be shocking…

I'd go if I was still up there. My friend in Leicester should go, but I've yet to convince him it's worth it 🙁 Tickets are what? A tenner? Maybe he feels it'd make his depression worse if we lose 😛 🙁

Apologies if this is answered elsewhere, but parking for tomorrow?

My kids have bought tickets for the game - we normally take the train for weekend games, but that isn't an option for a weekday evening, so I will drive up from London. Where do people recommend parking? I was thinking of coming off the M1 and parking in a side street somewhere along Narborough Road. Good idea? Any other suggestions?

What are you talking about, I’m not making a point of dropping Ward,  it’s quite common for teams to rotate goalkeepers in domestic cups.

There probably will be wholesale changes but I would go as strong as possible.

I wasn't having a go, merely saying that if you're gonna go "as strong as possible" then you play Ward who has been excellent, to leave only him out implies he is a weak link!

It's a valid argument to play our strongest 11 with a long break upcoming but do we really need to?

I'd also play Iverson but make 8 or 9 other changes - people need to play and lets be frank most of our first team squad would have been good enough to beat Newport at 18 years old.

I'd like to see hungry squad players and youngsters beat them 3 or 4 nil.

Rest our first team and hammer the.... Hammers.

By strong as possible I was referring more to the outfield players. I was taking it as a given that Iversen would be starting the league cup games.

We shouldn’t need to go strong but we’re coming into a bit of form and I’d like us to keep consistency to the line up and keep the momentum going.

It will be interesting to see. There has to be some rotation after three days, although with a long break after West Ham, tired legs are less of a concern. If Cags, Perez, and Lurch are lining up moves for January, there is less need to play them to assuage hurt feelings. But I would hope to at least see some youngsters on the bench.

Shameless self-promotion: I am hosting a pub quiz at the 1852 Brewery Co. in Wigston on Sunday Nov. 13 at 8pm. C'mon down.

Yes, best bet for getting away after as well. Due to smaller crowd should be easy enough. I park there pretty much all of the time, anywhere between Upperton Road and Fulhurst College area. Try around Bruce Street (in between the residential only parking are some free after 4 or 6 depending on which parking bays).

Hard to tell as only half the blocks open. If that equates to 16,000 (which I am not sure about), then we have currently sold around 12,000 (which includes 1,000+ away fans).

I reckon the attendance will be between 13-14,000 tomorrow.

Don't care who's picked but we need to save our strongest team for West Ham. If we can't beat these with largely our second string, then we don't deserve to progess anyway. What's the point of a highly paid extended squad, many of which are internationals, if you're not going to utilise them?

we are perfectly capable of sending out a second 11 if they are set up correctly.

Unfortunately  i can’t see us saving space on the bench for youth if we are doing that though. Brendan will want his get out of jail cards on the bench

That's what managers do as a rule no? Hoping not to play them unless needed. Along with a few youth players to gain experience who they'll bring if the match situation allows.
