Watching him play for the England youth teams and Development team. There's plenty of opportunity to see the young lads play. Whether it be online or going to the games.

How old is he? Remember Barnes and to a lesser extent KDH bossed the championship, literally the league's best players, before they were given a chance

He looks about 13 :D

I believe he's 18, recently moved from England 18s to the 19s.

The ability is definitely there, my guess is that there are concerns over his stature. He's not afraid to put himself about though and will happily get into a battle with players much bigger than him and will come out of it with the ball.

The thing that sticks out for me is his awareness on the pitch and his ability to pick out a pass. He reminds me a lot of Youri in that regard. Doesn't need a lot of touches and looks as comfortable hitting a 40 yard through ball as he does playing a 5 yard pass to his cb.

Ability wise I think he's good enough to at least be a regular in the championship. I think people's concerns are mainly with his size, yet he's put in good performances against football league players in the EFL Trophy this season.

There's no better chance to see how looks than in tonight's game, I really hope he's given the chance. There's not much more he can do to earn himself a chance at this point.

Brunt - Quelle surprise

I’d actually like to see him get another opportunity at first team level - I haven’t seen much to excite me but he needs a chance. VDC got chances and was obvious he simply wasn’t up to it technically.

Some of my best memories as a Leicester fan are winning this cup.

We only have a realistic chance of winning this or the FACup this season so how can it be meaningless?

Entitled Izzy me ole mucker. What has it come to when Leicester fans sneer at the League Cup?

This Braybrooke lad everyone keeps mentioning.

How does anyone know he's any good? On YouTube?  Is it a case of the eyes seeing what they want to see?

...no, if he plays tonight you will see for yourself, he really is that good!!!

Do not  expect tricks or wonder flicks or showboating, just a class player dictating the game and cutting the opposition apart with passing and vision, he also looks even better as the game wears on.

We need to go all out to try and win this cup.  It's the easiest route on paper to a European spot.  The big 6 won't take it seriously right until the end if they are even still in it.

Eh up mate!

We probably went to the League Cup semi finals and finals together back in the day.

Good times :scarf:

The recent highlights of him for England Under 19s v Denmark U19s were sexy

Good. We really need Braybrooke integrated to ease Youri and probably Mendy’s exit. He’ll only play Brunt for five minutes, mind.

You are talking emotions.

Brunt's a weird one, he's 22 in a few days and barely played grown up football. Think giving a chance to a younger player will pay off more in the long run.

Hope braybrooke gets some game time.

Told the mrs I can’t do it. Against modern football and all that. These kids need educating. Told him to wave at filbert and nod at Madders as he takes a corner. That’s all you need to do

Great memories of the league cup. Watching our last win in 2000 with my dad and brother. Our last big final all together. My dad can’t get to matches now so I watched the FA cup final with him in his care home with the same shirts on we wore to that match. Cup games are important in many ways. We have to take them seriously. COYB. 🦊💙

And as a lesser victory, keeping 7th place out of Europe.
