He should have been in the first team ahead of Praet and Perez

Wouldn't get that nonsense in the premiership, it wouldn't of hurt even if a little early.

I was just thinking how good it would have been to bring on a young dynamic will Alvez on against Newcastle yesterday. He’s exactly the spark this team needs right now! Such a shame. We need our Buddhist monks back asap! Too much bad mojo around our club.

I agree, I'd have loved to see Alves get some minutes in the PL.

But people are get carried away, bags of talent but hasn't really stood out at u23 level.

Can be a good player for us even after his injury but exception level need to be balanced.

Absolutely right, this isn't a missed tackle, it's a premeditated attempt to hurt a player, possibly end his career. Disgraceful.

Extremely sad news this. Sending best wishes to  Will for a speedy recovery. He still has a very bright future and look forward to seeing him playing again soon.

Really do not understand how you can say this.

Just how many 17 year olds do you actually expect to stand out at u23 level?

I think it’s a fair thing to say in the context of a 17 year old expected to get first team minutes.

why haven't the police been called? - this was an assault.

Won't happen. Sorry and all that. Not that I don't think it merits further action but it's just the way it rolls. I doubt even Wolves will do anything (other than say a word has been had)

As is reading and understanding someone's point.

I don't expect him to standout, my comment was in the context of people saying he was ready to play in the PL.

As in if he was ready for the PL, he would be standing out more in the u23.

People on here are wanting him to have minutes in the premier league

I totally missed the guy's comments but also read something that intimated he said something controversial. Does anyone know where we can find it?

But the thing is, as you've said, we shouldn't be abusing the kid, however bad the challenge was. Yes, it was an horrific act of thuggery, but everyone steaming in with abuse, threats and piling into his family is just sad and abhorrent. It doesn't matter if he's the nicest kid in the world or the planet's biggest bell piece.

Instead, we should be channelling our energies into messages of support for Will and encouraging the FA to investigate the tackle.

It was me on the youth page . He said 'someone needed to do it , he was taking the piss' . His dad did go mad at him for doing it and for saying that . He meant it tho obviously saying that . . The FA will be sent a report ,if not already .

I've been told the sites thst say his contract is up this June are incorrect, as he signed a new deal last summer. Until he's 18 (May) he can only sign 3 year contracts anyway, but don't be surprised to see a long term deal signed once he's 18.

Cracking news if true - hopefully the injury is just a blip as he looks like one of the most exciting talents to come through in years.

Do you know much about the contract situations and plans for the older members of the development squad like Eppiah, Suengchittawon, and Leshabela who are all 23/24? They're surely close to release/move-on territory as they've not really had a sniff of first team action and/or have struggled on loan. I'd probably put Hirst in that bracket too but he's likely sellable with his Portsmouth form and, fingers crossed, some form at Ipswich.

Not sure mate, I'd be relying upon thr contract end dates that are on the likes of transfermarkt website to be accurate for them. I think with Alves they just haven't updated it from when he first signed scholar terms.

Well after having a brief look at match lineups, Caden hasn't played a game for wolves since the incident.

No doubt conversations between the two clubs would have taken place following the incident. Maybe an agreement was reached...

I'll be angry if he plays again before Alves returns

Can't help hoping an example is made of Caden Voice and this follows him around his career and hampers him having any success. Hope he drops out the game ASAP to be honest.

Not so much out of bitterness as he is a young lad and probably full of adrenaline and testosterone trying to prove himself, you can forgive it. But rather to dissuade any other young idiots from trying something similar. If there are no consequences it could and probably will happen again.

That Caden Voice still not played a game since the incident, so does look like Wolves weren’t pleased with him or it’s an FA punishment we don’t hear about but that’s 13 games he’s not been part of the squad
