We are through and noone got Injured,

Can all move on and pretend waste 90 minutes of our day.

Iheanacho has scored the winner but absolutely dreadful, sometimes you wonder how he's a professional. Vardy made some weird decisions, head doesn't seem focused to me.

As usual Mendy put it about and never stopped running. I find it very difficult to criticise him. Its been unfortunate for him that his lack of height unbalances us.

Will any of these lot be in the first 11 next season?

Given our recent performance in the transfer market - probably all of them except Tielemans

From what I saw we could have killed the game off in 2nd half. Poor execution of counter attacks and where players could have made better decisions.

Pitch seemed to play its part, but we did find it difficult to break Gillingham down.

Most important thing being we are through to the next round and avoided what would have been a very embarrassing upset.

Considering that was the worst team in the Football League, that was pretty bad. That said the thing I found more awful was that after going 1 up that we spurned two golden opportunities on the break to wrap up the game.

We were poor, but look at that starting lineup... very little creativity. We were lucky to get the goal when we did, as that opened up the game.

FA Cup is a distraction this season, but you'd have hoped we could have used the game to get some confidence back. Well I suppose that at least we are through, so we can take something away from it.

For Brunt and McAteer, nice for them to get some games, but can't see either ever becoming Premier League players. For their sakes though, I hope I am wrong!

It really pissed Rodgers off when he scored about a dozen in less than half a season, almost as if Rodgers didn't know what he was doing! Still, he sorted him out at the start of the next season and stuck him on the bench. That'll show im!

For the rest of the season we should find a place for him because he will create and score chances.  He is hit and miss but makes things happen and will help us get results.

Do they have to talk about being “Womanhandled” at set pieces and what about “Man-on”, is that “player-on”?

What about the crowd being the "12th man"

At least we don't have to worry about that

Absolutely shockingly bad.  Only 3 players came out with any kind of credit for me. Soyuncu, who I thought was by far our best player, especially given that he was playing alongside the dreadfull Vestergaard, and Brunt, who despite being bigged up on the TV commentary at one point, I thought was rubbish. Tielemans and Albrighton are the other two, not because they were very good, but because they put the effort in.  McAteer, what is he? He doesn't look a wing back or defensively a very good full back either. Not surprised he couldn't get into the Forest Green Rovers team last season. Perez  clearly couldn't be arsed, Vardy a shadow of the player he was, and Nacho, despite his goal, was awful. Iversen made the one save he had to make, but didn'tool convincing with his feet or commanding his area from crosses into the box. In fact, much like Kasper was rooted to his line, and while i would probably still give him a chance ahead of Ward, We definitely need a new Keeper, and the sooner the better.  To be honest, a win, but a thoroughly deflating one!

To the moaners and whiners…

who can’t look beyond their consistent negative natter…

Terrible game, 2 youngsters, who didn’t want to drive forward & make a name..

No Leicester player willing to push the boat out,No Gillingham player good enough..

But…we got through,we live to fight another day, so many times we have slipped up playing great,so another awfull season will bring treasures..
We are in the next round, where our season might change to the old days…

oopps…Draw Arsenal and we can cancel our suits, like the old days…

We are born to have to take the shit,so bring it on on..

The only one I would have had for next season from today's performance was Soyuncu.

As long as he's not a lone striker.

I don’t know what some of you lot expect at times.

They played a flat back 5, with a flat 4, 5 yards in front of the defence in a really low block. The space from our high defensive line to their midfield was about 25 yards. Do any of you actually understand how hard that is to break down? They were very well disciplined in their shape and positions. It’s hard to get any rhythm together, and it’s so hard to break teams down.

We’re through to the next round. Job done.

How many actually good teams are there in the PL at the moment? Arsenal and Man. Utd. are consistent without really impressing too much. Man City are definitely not the team they were nor are Liverpool. Haaland has disguised Man.City's overall drop in standard. We are not playing well but we are no worse than a lot of others. Its a poor season for quality all round. Why? The World Cup maybe but too many players are in decline , injured or just not performing.

Eh?? Iheanacho wasn’t absolutely dreadful mate. He was our best player.

I might get some abuse but i think it was pretty comfortable.

One thing i will say is though - Brendan clearly approaches these games with the idea if we keep 75% possession we will have enough quality to create 1 or 2 goals. Then he has a tendency to complain about us being passive when we dont win. The issue passing it around the back so much is you waste so much time in the match not creating anything. All it takes is one half chance to put the other team in front and suddenly its very easy to sit in and watch us pass it around.

But a 1-0 win will be justification to Brendan to carry on with this approach in these sort of games. And on reflection we had better chances and looked more like scoring all game, but a 4-2-3-1 with attacking players from the youth team would give us so much more to shout about and still be easily as successful.

I have just accepted Brendan won't change his ways now. For good or bad. Just hope we do ourselves justice next weekend
