In some ways I don't mind that , if people are consistent and like me , think Rodgers is life expired. Its those who change their minds from one result to the next who I don't get.

Man United are strange. Doing the best theyve done in ages but still as rent really scary or convincing. They are now organised and they work hard, which they didn't do before. Rashford is obviously in the form of his life, as is Luke Shaw, but with Casemiro suspended, there's no reason we can't go there and win. Leeds and Palace drew with them recently, and if we play like we have in the last couple of games, we have nothing to fear.

Big decision is who plays Mendy or Youri. I'd say Mendy, but we shall see.

Any oldies remember a 2-1 win at Man U with a brace from Mike Stringfellow? April 1966

Only home league match that United lost that season

C'mon without, c'mon within...

Remember Stringy in the 70's. Unforgettable but always injured (dodgy knees, I think). There's a photo of him in the Filbert St end behind the Andy Peake thunderbolt against Liverpool.

Great servant to the club. I think his last Leicester goal was in a vital win at Spurs 3-0 when we digging our way out of the relegation mire in 1975.

Mike still goes to games at the KP. Had a number of chats with him in the Keith Weller lounge.
He’s not a fan of VAR that’s for sure.

Every team working so hard and giving everything at the relegation zone.

Today's results shows that clearly.

I believe, it's very early for us to hold hands and sing jambalaya as we are not out of woods yet.

I think we will at least be very competitive in this. Having over a week to prepare compared to united 2/3 days surely has to have an advantage. For me, it’s down to have we keep Rashford quiet. I don’t think united have been scintillating this season but they have been very effective.  It won’t be easy to go there and win, they don’t give up easily and have come back a few times this season after going behind. That said, Leeds took them all the way last week so we should take confidence from that and our recent form. 1-1

Getting into them the way we did to Spurs will be the best way to approach this. But, we are going to give the ball away and leak a few goals doing that. I see this one as a free hit so would rather just go for it and don't mind coming away with a loss if we give a good account of ourselves. I think the scum will win 2-1 but with our firepower up front we could get fortunate and nick a 2-2. Would like to think Madders and the new boys would really raise their game for this one. Its the sort of game Tete would have been dreaming about.

I do think Man U will be going all in here as they should be smelling blood with Man City dropping points and Arsenal looking less than convincing today.

Mendy needs to start

...pretty strange this game football, this time last year  Mendy was out of the 25, about to step out the door and everyone on here had him down on their list as the first to get out of the club, Rodgers did not see him as someone that we needed!!!

Luke Thomas and Cags v Man U ressies behind closed doors

Yes, hardly quite the same as doing so as back in 1998 when they were THE team to beat at the time and in front of a full house re Garry Parker chipping the ball in the box for for Cottee to run onto to score his majestic winner!

They really didnt. Alot of people could see the improvement and balance he brought the side when hes had a proper run (beggining of 20/21 and end of 21/22) and find it bizarre he gets totally ostracised for large parts of seasons by Rodgers
