Popular Post SK3Blue Posted 10 April 2023 Popular Post Posted 10 April 2023 (edited) Rafa was on a hiding to nothing going in at Everton, he's probably the best of what's left now. Steve Cooper may be an option further down the line in the summer, just as long as he doesn't stare at the family stand too long and scare the kids. Edited 10 April 2023 by SK3Blue 7

And the bolded bit is where your post got unrealistic when talking about this club at the moment! 1
Phenom Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 Considering how inept our board is - Rafa would be a slam dunk
Sambiasso Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 (edited) It's definitely, 100% over between Leicester and Jesse Marsch. The American manager will not become the new head coach. #LCFC Deal almost collapsed yesterday and now off. https://mobile.twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1645312152436199425 Edited 10 April 2023 by Sambiasso 1
ronnup Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 Dean Smith for 9 games, would Shakespeare be with him? I'd take that tbf now

trooky Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 Sack the board, the club is a shambles. No transfer investment in the summer, leave it too late to sack Rodgers and now they have NO plan for a replacement. Absolute disgrace, everyone associated with this mess has to go. 1
roblcfc84 Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 I’m definitely now at the point where Smith with Shakey is the best option. Short-term and review in the summer, depending on what league we are in

FoxesWalk Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 Wherever we go from here, we know whoever is hired is likely well down the list of names we had considered… if Marsch was top of that list, then we shouldn’t be expecting much 😅 1

As it is Rodgers leaves with his reputation at City intact , after all he " would have kept us up " if he had stayed 🤔. 2
Safestandingfox Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 Hope it's Dean Smith, reasoning is 2 fold; 1: should bring Shakey with him 2: I've got a fiver on him at 66/1 1 3
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 10 April 2023 Popular Post Posted 10 April 2023 Diego Martinez was desperate to come to the PL after he left Granada. His stint at Espanyol has been poor but what he did at Granada was superb. We need to look at managers who thr PL is the Holy grail for them and attempting to get to it via the Championship if we did go down still represents a great opportunity. 12

Give a contract to a guy for the remainder of this season and the first game of next season, then, after twiddling our thumbs all summer, need to look for a new manager in late August 2
MrLuke Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 So am I right in thinking at the moment we still have no idea who the new name is? I think @Sambiasso mentioned an eleventh hour candidate has come up but as yet the name was unknown. I think I made the mistake of immediately assuming that meant it wasn’t a name we have so far been linked with. whoever it is, realistically they need to be with us immediately to give us a fighting chance of avoiding total humiliation at Man City.

Stop coming up with names our Board will have never heard of. Don't do it to yourself. 1
