This is winnable but Madders has to be in the middle and we need a proper right winger on. 

 

This midfield three is unforgivable, none of them want the ball. 

 

I figured when I saw it the plan was to press them all over the park but we're not even doing that.

Tetê on for Ndidi or Mendy, move Maddison into the middle. Daka or Iheanacho to come on for Vardy around the 60th minute mark if he's still not doing the business.

Imagine how much better we can be if Ndidi can play ball. The amount of time he spent running next to a Villa player when his teammates need help - countless. Only Mendy runs around to get in position for a pass.

 

Meanwhile, lovely to see we finally play these overhead passes again with our quick players!

Defence gives away such easy goals which makes survival unlikely whoever is manager. Obvious then to try to pack the middle areas and hope to nick goals on the break, and we're giving that a go. But the squad just looks too tired or not good enough to survive.

We've looked far better once we've gone long and bypassed midfield.  Faes has played some brilliant balls through.

 

Should've scored first from that set piece and then the inevitable brain **** happens.

 

Well in the game though, hopefully we step it up second half and mix it up with the midfield doing something together with more direct play.

Definitely worth bringing Tete/Ricardo down the right, they'll surely come out in the second half and double up on Barnes so we need to pull them down both sides.

We’re noticeably more compact and direct, but still look very vulnerable.

It's taken an individual piece of brilliance for us to score though, I'm concerned we aren't creating enough (Souttar's sitter aside).

 

As @Finnegan has said, that midfield three is grotesque and not only aren't we pressing but Mendy and Ndidi somehow managed to get carved open at times as well. Pointless.

 

I'd get Ricardo on for Ndidi at half time.
