I must say I had forgotten how many experts on mental strength/weakness we have on this forum.

Anyone with a test average of 28.4 having opened the batting in 35 tests needs to go, it’s not much better in first class cricket.

Can’t comment on the mental side of things but in cricket it’s the numbers that count and he’s built that 28.4 average (average being the right word) on a few big scores on flat tracks.
Spends a lot of his time complaining about pitches which is the lamest excuse a batsman can make in cricket.

That's what I was commenting on, though, and what others seem very ready to know it all about.

Sometimes you've just got to tip your cap to the opposition.

Australia have kicked our arse this test (and we've kicked our own arse too on occasion)

Mad that when you bowl at the stumps and not 8m above them that you can force wickets regularly.

Hopefully we look yo adopt this weird new of playing that the aussies have tried out

Wouldn’t surprise me if England turn to Rehan Ahmed for the next test as a kind of last throw of the dice.

I don’t see who he’d come in for, maybe Robinson?
