Looks like the umpires started to walk for the end of the over before the wickets were hit, but perhaps didn't actually call 'over'.

Quick thinking from Carey.

Maybe not as controversial as first thought. It doesn't look great, but not really anything wrong with it?

It’s no different to if the ball went back to the bowler and the bowler would try. Brilliant from Carey, brain fart from Bairstow.

Yep, think it's just pure laziness from Bairstow.

All round general pissed-offness there.

Pissed off at the Aussies for yet another incident of bending the rules of the game to win (though as per earlier no one including me should expect any less).

Pissed off at Bairstow for being daft enough to give them a reason to do so.

What a way for this to all end.

I don’t like that, technically it’s out but where’s the sportsmanship? It’s like a mankad - for me, it’s just against the spirit of the game.

Can't blame the Aussies for playing to the whistle. Bairstow should have waited. Gave his wicket away

Perhaps this might actually inspire the Lord's crowd to abandon the gentility and actually give the team a boost through hostile atmosphere for the rest of the match, though.

Stokes body language and reaction to it was quite telling. He must have known that there wasn't anything wrong with it or nothing that can be done.
