Aside from those two managers after that won us major trophies.

One of them was well on there way to getting us here years ago and the other has gotten us here. There’ll always be part of me grateful to them for those moments, but we regressed under both on where we were as a club when they took over, neither had any long term plan to improve us.

More of a case of who would want a job at a club with demoralised staff, little money, dissolusioned fans, a chairman and board with little clue, ... need to clear the decks ... completely new manager and backroom staff  ... no previous applicants need apply   .... cut out all of the deadwood and bad apples ..  no baggage  ... until this is done we are going nowhere

Look at the absolute state Rodgers left us in and then compare that with where Nigel left us. We won the ****ing premier league with his set up!

Nige was great for us when he was here but that was nearly 10 years ago

I wouldn't want him back as I think there is more chance he adds a blot to his history with us than turns us around

I think he might want to stay at Bristol City anyway as he is well into a rebuild with them

That list is so uninspiring. Sorry, but it is.

The thought of us missing out on proper coaches/managers like Emery or Lopetegui earlier this season, had we binned Rodgers when we should have, makes me sick.

Rodgers definitely had a long term plan... it was just shit. It's the fault of the club and KP for trusting Rodgers to do everything instead of having a long term plan themselves.

Pearson can’t get Bristol City past mid table, despite the fact he has two of the best young players in the division. Move on from him ffs.

Pearson managed us in the PL for 1 season, it’s to difficult to compare with a manager who was with us in the PL for 3 seasons.

Huge decision. I think we've got a good frame for the Champ, plus the squad will be massively refreshed and a good chunk of the mercenaries out. Massive season ahead and a leaner team for it

Still kept us up with that squad which was a great achievement

I mean he can, he will next season, we’ll be looking up at them wishing we’d taken him.

Michael Duff would be my outside shout. Watched a lot of his Cheltenham side the last few years and, apart from a dodgy last few games, he has done well with Barnsley this year too.

Good man manager and very honest. Would bring the fresh ideas that the club desperately needs.
