The honest answer is I’ve not watched enough Championship football in the past few years to know what would be best and what candidates are available.

 

Has Rudkin etc been paying attention too? I doubt it. It’s going to be a hello of a shock.

Robins has done an unbelievable job with Coventry, has taken them from League 2 to Championship play offs with no budget and at times no ground. I would like to see him given a go, especially as an ex player too.

 

My second choice would be McKenna but I don't think he'll leave Ipswich.

I want Pearson if we’re relegated, stay up, everyone else gets a point deduction and we win the league, invited to join the Super League, miss the paperwork to be registered for the Championship and have to go again in non-league, whatever, just Nigel f’n Pearson please. Only person who’s had a positive vision for this football club and the ability to deliver on it in 25 years.

God love NP, but my main gripe is that the same stale staff that have been stinking the club out will prolong their stay. If we get a familiar face, the coaches, scouts,  and "fitness" staff that have been equally complicit on this shambles are more than likely to stay even longer.

Aside from those two managers after that won us major trophies.
