It because it's, on paper, one of our strongest. Lots of internationals, lots of players that can turn a game on their day. Yet they are going down with a whimper. That is utterly unforgivable

Our first season, I could have accepted relegation as we gave all in each game. This team just doesn't, no ideas, no motivation, and no character. Very passive. We also had bite, aggression and play without fear and a proper captain in Morgan. Now we have none of that.

Who is actually standing up and being counted??

Think the drop to League One gives one a run for its money. But yes, this is easily the most painful season given our recent success, its the alarmingly fast fall from grace which hurts the most.

Dreadful as it is having watched for nearly 50 years it has been way worse………need Top to step up now and make some changes.

sadly modern prem football is all about the money and most if these tossers don’t give a damn so good riddance and I would rather go down and start again than watch or support this pile of crap!

Relegation to League One was worse. Teams like Blackpool beating us. Losing to Wednesday at home. Three managers, one of which left so quickly.

This season is painful because of how good we have been, recently, but I’ve seen worse.

Felt somewhat the norm back then to be shit. I don't even recognise the club this season

It’s laughable. It hurts more I think this season because of where we’ve been. Sad.

It's a fair point. We were also being relegated to a low that we had never experienced before. We have spent around half of our existence in the second tier so it's not like we are stooping to the depths of depravity. This hurts because the decline from playing in Europe and winning major trophies has been so steep.

This season the worst football we have ever played. Plus no fight or desire.

With one of our best squads on paper.

Wet paper bag and fight.

They are fvcking awful.

Not for me.

Genuinely felt the fans were at least united in their support. We had occasions like Chelsea in the League Cup and winning at Barnsley which made me fall in love with the club deeper than I did before.

We were in the shit together, been there for a while and eventually were suffering the punishment we’d delayed from administration. Entered League 1 and left the chip on our shoulder behind.

Compare to the malaise now amongst the support, the arrogance at the club and the ultimate the disconnection which has made plenty enjoy non league this season or consider not renewing their season tickets

1977 / 78 - was it 4 wins in a 42 game season and a top scorer with 4 - I think this season at least matches that one for total and utter shite - open top bus so we can chuck manure, rotten  vegtables, dog shit at the tw@ts

I'm 32 and it's easily the most frustrating and avoidable one in my lifetime bar maybe 07/08 but it felt like we'd been circling the drain in the seasons before that. For those reasons it probably does add up to this being the worst. Sack Rodgers before the clocks go back and we're nowhere near this mess.

There was an about 4 years before that where I felt absolutely nothing, the players and team were shocking / dour football no money and useless managers (Levien / Kelly / worthington guessing) - this year has been as bad or even worse just due to the fact there are some half decent players in there somewhere

And it was the beginning of Nigel Pearson at LCFC

I could take being relegated but not in these circumstances when there is no fight whatsoever.

The disconnect is frightening and anyone thinking we’re going to bounce right back to the PL need a hard look in the mirror.

Dont get me wrong I’d love for us to bounce straight back, but with a rebuild as big as we’re going to have it’ll take time to hit it off.

I reckon Harry Worley gave more of a shit than this rabble of gutless pricks.
