Popular Post Happy Fox Posted 16 May 2023 Popular Post Share Posted 16 May 2023 For me either Mark Robins if he doesn’t get Coventry promoted surely. Rafa would be good but I doubt he would come, seeing as we didn’t even offer him the contract. My worry is we appoint someone like Russel Martin or Scott Parker, and we will just flounder in the bottom Half of the championship.

I keep reading this purely because he used to play for us (wasn't even any good), he's a bottom half championship manager at best, used to working in L1/L2 type players and is clearly not the answer at all. 3

Popular Post Foxes with Sprit Posted 16 May 2023 Popular Post Share Posted 16 May 2023 I've said it before and i'll say again, Mark Van Bommel. Lots of intelligence and fight in him. Got a track record behind him, experience , playing honours the lot. Building youth. He has Kompany vibes.

Lool at how we looked against a Blackburn team putting out a weak squad. That team didn't even make the play offs. If we continue our form we will be mid or lower mid table championship easily. 6

That’s why it’s crucial that we make the best appointment possible to finish top 2, someone like Rafa or someone that has a clear playing style at this level akin to what Burnley produced this season. I wouldn’t trust us if we finish in the playoffs.

funkyrobot Posted 16 May 2023 Share Posted 16 May 2023 A lot of encouraging names on here but unfortunately we are forgetting how poor our senior management team have been for the last two years. The appointment will be as tragic as it is inevitable - Welcome to the new era….. ‘Frank Lampard’s Leicester City™️’

Wrighty22 Posted 16 May 2023 Share Posted 16 May 2023 Whoever comes in we need to make sure we have a total clear out of all the backroom staff. A proper rebuild.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 16 May 2023 Share Posted 16 May 2023 (edited) Michael Duff, lacks experience of managing in the league, but has been here as a player and as a coach while at Burnley. Demands standards within his team on and off the field, has already overseen a decent rebuild of Barnsley in a toxic environment, has worked developing younger players and from a staff point of view he lets them voice their opinions and have a say, like Leicester used during the time of Pearson and Ranieri, rather than run a managerial dictatorship. Has worked on a shoestring budget as well in previous roles. Edited 16 May 2023 by LcFc_Smiv

He has done absolutely wonders with no budget and no ground at times. I’m not saying he is the best option but he has done more than some of the shouts ie Martin and Pearson with the same sort of budget, if not less. And I ain’t talking about just this season, he has taken Coventry from League 2 to Championship play offs. Doesn’t happen often. moore_94 Posted 16 May 2023 Share Posted 16 May 2023 Rob Edwards - Luton Michael Carrick - Middlesbrough Mark Robins - Cov Though I expect it will be Scott Parker or Russell Martin Between the 2 I would probably prefer Parker as at least he has recent experience with Fulham and Bournemouth of getting promoted
