Or Rodgers did this intentionally, I honestly believe that some of the senior pro’s had seen through him and he moved them on or forced them out in an attempt to exert even more control.

There has been a lack of leadership throughout the season and I think there are some divisions within the camp and that is impacting us on tje pitch, this wouldn’t have been allowed to happen if Kaspar was still here.

Or even worse, a self-sabotaging attempt to get back at the board for not spending more.

Don’t disagree for a second

Lookman would have been a handy addition but I sensed BR never rated him for some reason.

I don't think that's the case, sure I heard Rodgers say he wanted the player, it was a stupid decision not to sign him for what, £12m was it?

So self explanatory title, I’ll leave out the ones that we sold for big money and wanted to go on to bigger and better things.

Would any of these, have helped our plight this season:

Ayoze Perez - Loaned out

Mark Albrighton - Loaned out

George Hurst - Loaned out

Hamza Choudhury - Loaned out

Kasper Schmeichel - £1.0m

Eldin Jakupovic - £0

Filip Benkovic - £0

Also ….

Rachid Ghezzel - £3.0m

Demari Gray - £1.00m

For me neither are worse than Teté!

Perez, Hamza, and Gray would walk into the current team, that doesn’t mean they’re top premier players though.Hamza would get about the pitch quicker, Gray would get past his man and put a ball in more regularly, and Perez worked hard as well as having the skills and a bit of trickery to hold the ball and give others a chance to get up with him. But we’d still be struggling.

Hordes of people saying Schmeichel. Remember when people wanted him out? lol

Its so criminal what Rodgers has done to our greatest ever goalkeeper.

Thing is, he said before he went he wanted to play in Europe again. Surely Rodgers and the board should have got together and talked about buying a new good goalkeeper.

Unless they genuinely thought Ward/Iversen combination was good enough. Crazy.

We're going to get relegated and end up still needing a new goalkeeper.

I don't know if my memory is playing tricks on me, but when the story about Kasper first broke wasn't it said it would happen 'once a suitable replacement is found?'.

Then we got in Smithies. I'm pretty sure the club had no plan here.

Given the amount of dogshit we've had on that right wing, letting Gray go looks like a really pointless exercise.

Apart from that, the only one really is Kasper.  That first 10 games where Ward was waging a culture war of his own against the art of goalkeeping, if Kasper was between the sticks, I think we'd have been comfortably mid-table.

You are right. BR played Ward 26 games before he realised he was league 2 level.

I thought he was a master coach? Everyone knew that Ward was diabolical.

Trouble with that Narcissistic Cnut Rodgers he believed all the crap the pundits were kissing his Ar5e “ Brendan’s world class a quality tactician “ etc etc etc he has ruined this club to the core his mismanagement crazy tactical BS a falling out with players benching when they should be playing making up BS about fitness, he allowed some players that if we had still might not be in this position his inability to see Ward was a liability & not fit to be an EPL GK is irresponsible & downright incompetent!

The board along with Rudkin need to hold their collective hands up and admit they should have sacked Rodgers a lot sooner than that did so they were worried about his £10m payoff well we’re going to lose over £150m plus on being relegated seeing Top last few games his demeanour shows correct me if I’m wrong he looked like he’d fallen out of love for the club he looked like he didn’t know how to solve our problems even tho 1 was sitting very close to him, it’s a shame Vichai’s dream is on the verge of a nightmare but Top turn this club back to being run how it was before !

I never thought I'd be saying this, but we've definitely missed Perez, especially since both Maddison and Youri have turned to shit when we needed them the most.

Not saying we miss him, but would just like to point out the sad case of Benkovic. Looked good when he first arrived, then went on loan and became the first one of our players Rodgers ruined with poor injury management, before the nobhead came to us and proceeded to ruin the rest of them.

I agree with this, I think he was used as a scapegoat a lot. He does offer something different and given a run of games I think he could have helped. Still would have been in the s**t but at least he was a different option.

Schmeichel, million per cent.

This team needed it's leaders. We got rid of the main only one. Amateur.

Fixed it.

Tbf we sent him out on loan and he never seemed to impress.

Hamza Choudhury’s stats are pretty damn good…

Schmeichel and Albrighton.

Albrighton gives us something defensively, and still offers more than Tete (mind you, who doesn't) gives 100% too.

Not sure on Hamza, but could be no worse than Soumare or Ndidi.

Albrighton that couldnt start for West Brom and had the combined goals and assists of zero playing in the Championship?

Him moving on wasn't ideal but the real sin was not replacing him. If we'd had a proven, top division (across the main european leagues) goalkeeper to come in, then the defence wouldn't have been treading on eggshells since day one.

Spot on. Look at how many points Navas has saved Forest since he arrived.

Only 8 starts for WBA in 17 games, no goals and no assists.....

Indeed, especially when we spunked £15m on somebody who's barely featured since he's been here, Vestergaard!

Very few on this thread have had much positive to say about Perez but I liked him. I thought he worked hard for the team despite constantly being played out of position. He’s better than Tete, he’s better on the right than Praet, he was an excellent option as cover for sick-note Maddison. His assist for Barnes against West Ham was outstanding and only Maddison probably had the ability to play a similar pass. He should’ve been kept in the squad until

the end of his contract. Instead it was filled with 3 players who had no chance of minutes - Vestergaard, Bertrand and Brunt.
