I can never remember it being a thing either. It's just become obsessively weird for some. Lads who think that acting right-wing automatically makes you hard.

 

That said, there's a reason those kind of chants are sung at the Merseyside teams (not just by Leicester). If you sang "Feed the Cockneys/Geordies/Brummies/Leicester" no-one else would get remotely as wound up about it as they do, for example. Not defending it but there's a reason our own merry band of hilarious banterlads only sing this kind of stuff at them.

 

Just hope if we stay up we actually manage to avoid playing either of them near Christmas for once.

We are not liked by other teams or supporters the only reason other supporters wanted us to win the league when we won it is because of the whole fairytale will never be done again sticking it to the big boys reason. The whole destroy Everton thing is like sending the dads army brigade to defend Ukraine against Putin.

Everton is the perfect definition of a club being improbably run, and chucking millions to a lost cause with no clear direction/strategy that will eventually mean failure.

Back when we used to be subject to regular racist chanting referring to our city's high Asian population, Everton fans were among the worst offenders. Liverpool were pretty bad too, if I recall correctly.

You don’t have to be a socialist and try to draw attention to anything to think that, I wouldn’t consider myself a socialist, but the fact people still defend them after 13 years in power and the state the country is in quite baffling to me. Have no idea how anyone can flippantly suggest someone is trying to get someone to look at them and draw attention to themselves for suggesting the poverty levels in a city are not something worth mocking as if it somehow makes us better than them

Yeah imagine being that ignorant and being so unaware of what's going on around you. Baffling. But it does also answer how they get back in. I guess ignorance is bliss to some. Ivory towers n all that.

well there’s an argument that they might want them to go down so they can hide from that. Very easy to sweep that under the rug if they’ve gone down, because people won’t care about it as much.

Bizarrely, I think the last round of results has helped our cause. If we’d won last night I think our brittleness to pressure would show on Sunday. By playing catch up and needing a win is ideal. Players can focus on one outcome.

I think a lot of the bigger teams rival fans will be over the moon to see Leicester relegated. I don’t think they’ll ever get over the fact that we won the league and that ‘little old Leicester’ is being put in its place by relegation.
