Their desire and ability to keep pushing and not be tempted to play it safe is why they give themselves a chance. It's relentless football. 

 

I'm now unable to get too angry with them as this is how I'd want us to attempt to play when chasing a game but we wouldn't be able to apply this intensity. 

 

The automatic promotion race is going to be highly pressurised now, was essential we got over the line tonight and we should take huge confidence that we've been able to. But it counts for very little if we don't kick on now.

Missed a penalty but still scored,hit the post and Bristol never got near their goal in the last 10.

it isnt all sunshine and rainbows there, their defence is probably the weakest in the top 4 imo

what I mean, our fans see "wow ipswich are all over them and playing well etc" disregard the fact Ipswich were pretty poor tonight, and the keeper and bar has to give them a helping hand

I have to remind myself we won away from home tonight, that Ipswich comeback is so deflating that it feels like we conceded a last minute equaliser.

Ipswich don't do anything special. They just play the ball forward and send it several times into the box knowing they don't have to deal with 4-5 Paolo Maldinis. This is why they have scored a lot of goals either OGs or deflections. 

 When Enzo and our players were fairly criticised for playing backwards and sideways when we have acres of space to move the ball forward quickly, he got angry lecturing us.

The main positive is the pressure on saints....lose or draw tomorrow and they are toast to us. 

 

7pm tonight it was any two from four. By 10pm tomorrow it could be two from three

They looked pretty fearless - even at 3-2 up. If they were psychologically suspect, the penalty miss would have done for them (same goes for their fans). I hope our win tonight will have given us a bit of a boost and we can start winning with confidence again . I still believe we are the best team in this division, but sometimes it looks like the players aren't so sure.

Hate to say it but we need Cov to keep winning. They play a massive part in the promotion race, they still have to play Southampton, Leeds and Ipswich.
