What is the first thing the club has to do?

1) Sack Rudkin

2) Appoint DOF 

3) Release Stowell & Saddler  

4) Appoint Manager with Championship experience 

5) Sell Maddison, Barnes ASAP to enable the re-build 

6) Negotiate better deals with the loans

7) Cancel pre season tour and arrange games against league 1 and Premier League teams

8) Convince Vardy to be captain and the focal point of the team. In return to a reduction in wage 

9) Reduce mascot fees from the reported £600 per game 

10) Stop worrying about free drinks, clappers, goal music, how much to charge for scoreboard announcements, away priority points and concentrating on signing some players capable of winning the league

Honestly.. God knows!

It’s such a mess I wouldn’t know where to start.

However, If I were running a football club and in this situation, here’s what I think I’d do:

- replace the DOF. Rudkin’s record this season across all things ‘football’ is shocking.

-hire a younger, more ambitious manager with something to prove.

- get the contracts sorted. Decide who to keep and offer them a new contract. Let the others go quickly. 
- get the scouts working overtime to generate a list of possible signings.

- bin any idea of extending the stadium.

- sell those players still on contract who clearly want out (or who are likely to want out). Get the transfers sorted and the money in the kitty. DO NOT STALL on this. It needs doing quickly.

- fire the staff who, unfortunately, the club can’t afford to keep on. 
- replace the medical team. Our injury list has been ridiculous.

- get my arse in gear. Appreciate that this is going to be very hard work and the days will be long.

- underpin this all by getting the right team around me, quickly.

The last one is big for me.

 

We have to make the KP a horrible place to come. Save money on free drinks etc and install safe standing, keep matchday prices reasonable and subsidise away tickets over £30 to encourage fans to travel.

 

We have a generation of fans raised on paying no more than that to watch us play at some of the famous grounds in the world who will now be asked to pay £40 or more to go to Hull and Ipswich. 

 

Rebuild the fanbase. Make it a difficult place to come. Look how Forest turned the CG into a cauldron and a rough place to go with an extremely average squad that got battered every time it left Nottingham and learn from it.

At least when we do go back up (god knows when), we will all believe we are in a relegation battle from the off - fans, management, board and players. This year only the fans seemed to have understood that and it’s cost us big time

Get a decent up and coming manager in and give him sufficient flexibility in the transfer market to sort out our bloated shitty attitude squad out into one that can challenge to come straight back up

The atmosphere was big in those final few weeks of the great escape season and carried right through to the title-winning season. It's only been since we've thought we were comfortable it's gone tits up again.

 

The club must do all it can to encourage vocal support again.

Agree it's relatively minor, but a decent atmosphere makes a world of difference. If Forest had our atmosphere I reckon they'd have been down before Southampton. 

 

The main thing is putting together a squad who will be worthy of getting behind again.

I like it, one of the few bits of identity about our match day experience. The stadium, clappers, family friendly vibe, goal music since we binned off kasabian can make it quite a soulless place so anything that screams leicester is welcome.

Get rid of Soumaré. Worst and most frustrating player I've ever seen. Never seen him run. But he's consistent to be fair, zero effort always no matter what.
